Before using ibus you must first run "im-chooser" to select ibus as your input
method.
After selection, you'll need to logout/login.
With the default preferences you will have a EN (assuming English is your primary
language) on
the System Tray.
Thanks a lot, Ed! I did not have
im-chooser
installed. After having installed that, I did as you suggested, and
now "ibus-typing-booster" is working perfectly!
