This is something we've talked about many times but it's not quite
implemented yet. I'd like to put footers at the bottom of our pages that
reference a hosting provider. For an example see:
http://us.pycon.org/2009/conference/schedule/event/21/
We can't build it directly into the templates because different places
have different hosting. What I'd like to do is have our templates import
a js script (or something). Then we can deploy a custom js script to each
host that has the relevant information.
If you're interested put a proof of concept together on your fedorapeople
page.

Make x86_64 more visible or even the default choice

Hi,
Currently the website focuses on the x86 version of fedora and the
x86_64 version is hidden so unless the user knows that he is searching
for it, he will just download the x86 version.
We should promote the x86_64 as the default choice with a visible link
"For older PCs and Netbooks click *here*" (More information)".
In F11 effort was made to change the default x86 arch from i386 to
i586 to gain extra performance, but benchmarks that I have done back
than have clearly showed that you gain much more from moving moving to
x86_64.
Not only that you have access to more registers MMX, SSE and SSE2 can
be used unconditionally.
Besides this x86_64 allows the use of more memory and memory prices
are dropping significantly lately. (Desktops running 12GB of RAM is
nothing impossible or overly expensive now).
Please don't let this end up in ix86 vs x86_64 flamewar.
Yes they are cases where x86 is the better choice (when memory and
diskspace are limited, but that exactly is covered by "older hardware
and netbooks")
So please consider changing the default to x86_64.

I recently got the Linux Ubuntu and i was very satisfied with it.Many friends of mine wanted to have it and i did copies for them on other disks. I never thought that you were really going to deliver it. Thank you very much. I want to become a distributor for my country, as this is the only way I can thank you for giving me Ubuntu and i want to distribute Linux all over Mauritius. I don't know how to become a local distributor for my country, please help me, I should be grateful to you. Hi to every one who is reading this mail
sir/madam we are group of 6 guys .our group(named as cetaceans) is working
on motivating students and computer user for using
linux . we are organizing a three days workshop on linux (4th may2009 to6th
may) .But in this we require a favour by yourside that we want to
distribute certificates and
cd's of fedora so that most number of student attend our workshop from all
over india .so with due respect we want (if possible)
you to give us permission to distribute these certificates . actually this
is our first workshop as we just formed this group . we are engineerig
students .we can organise this workshop in our college but most of the
student or user are not able to take advantage if we organise it in our
college . but if we organise this workshop outside our college in this case
we dont have the authorised certificates to distribute. so we want you to

It's very ugly at least for Persian and Balochi. I've made a test for
its translation but outcome is too bad :D. Blurs makes it unclear.

This actually looks good. I think it would be good if each person available
at a certain time placed a tally in the box(s) correspond to the best time
slot. The one with the most tally markings would then be the best time for
the meeting.
