@jflory7 , I have reviewed the document and did few modification as -
1. Modified the plan section to reflect OSCAL as an option.
2. Put a note in budget section to reflect the ticket prizes can go high with time.
3. Filled "-" values with specifics as sharing or hometown etc.
4. Also, I have modified arrival and departure date to make it 4 nights, earlier it was showing 5 nights in Plan section.
Question - Should we remove Logistics section, as it does not have any real values there, or we plan to fill it after the FAD with real expenditures?
Rest looks good to me, so +1

# [Proposal pending review](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FAD_Diversity_2017)
Earlier today, @jonatoni updated the budget section on the wiki section to reflect the changes she and @amsharma worked on for number-crunching. I finished writing up details further on our intended impact by hosting the FAD on the [wiki page](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FAD_Diversity_2017) a bit ago.
As of now, I _think_ this is in a state where it is ready to take to the Fedora Council, but would like to get +1/-1s in the ticket before moving forward. Please take careful time to review the [wiki page](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FAD_Diversity_2017) and leave your vote here in this ticket.

Hey all! Earlier this morning, the Diversity team held their weekly
meeting (sorry for the delay in sending these out)!
In the meeting, we mostly continued discussion about tying the knot with
the FAD proposal and hope to have it into the Council for consideration
by Friday. We also discussed the private ticket idea and a private
mailing list, and should have more on this next time.

Hello everyone!
This topic comes from a ticket in the CommOps Trac that we discussed
during today's CommOps meeting (linked below). Since a lot of people may
be hearing about this for the first time, I will summarize the big
points here in this email. The longer details are in the wiki page and
ticket.
https://pagure.io/fedora-commops/issue/92https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Appreciation_Day
The Fedora Appreciation Day would be a yearly day of thanks dedicated to
the volunteers and contributors that work in the Fedora Project
community. This can be from a development, infrastructure, marketing,
engineering, or any other standpoint. Contributors and users would be
encouraged to spend a small part of their day passing along thanks to
the project community, either to specific people or projects, or to
Fedora as a whole. The idea stems off of a discussion I had with
cprofitt about the Ubuntu Community Appreciation Day.
November 6th is chosen as the date to have the Fedora Appreciation Day
as it marks the anniversary of the Fedora Project, as announced by Bill
Nottingham on November 6, 2003.
We have a number of ideas in place about how to go about planning the
event. An outline is created for how we want to execute organizing and
putting this event together.
1. Create clear guidelines and ways for participants to express
gratitude. Make sure this is somewhere public and open.
2. Communicate ahead of time of the event, as far as one month
ahead of time.
3. Create a "community thank you pad", either as a wiki page or
otherwise, that can serve as a public wall of thanks.
4. Focus on awareness the week leading up to the event so users and
contributors both are aware of the planned event.
5. Monitor what's going on for the day of the event and try to make
observations about the result and impact of the event (e.g.
number of wiki edits on gratitude page, number of karma cookies
given on day, etc.).
We spent a lot of time discussing this in the CommOps meeting today, and
a lot more details are explaining in the comments of the ticket in the
CommOps Pagure.
It would be great to have other feedback to the ideas we are discussing
and hopefully wanting to execute in time for this event! If you have
some time, please review the wiki page and ticket.
Thanks everyone! Really hoping we can work towards making this a
tradition in the community for years to come. :)

Hi there!
My name is Radka, known as Rhea around the internet. I'v been living all
over the Europe, so I can't really answer the question "where are you from"
with a single place :P
Short story, I'm a coder-girl involved in many communities. Should you wish
to know more, you can read a bit longer story at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Rhea =]
On top of that I could mention that I do have a fair amount of experience
with harassment online, from trolls and harmless stalkers to people trying
to discredit, defame and ruin other peoples lives based on a silly reason
if any at all (just because someone is different gender, "color" or just
because they identify as an attack helicopter.)
I would like to help fight against this kind of harassment. Everyone should
have the right to be welcome and treated nicely (until they lose it as
consequence of their own actions...)
Best regards,
Radka

Dear all,
You are kindly invited to the meeting:
Diversity Team IRC Meeting on 2016-10-05 from 08:00:00 to 09:00:00 US/Eastern
At fedora-meeting(a)irc.freenode.net
The meeting will be about:
Every week, the [Diversity Team](https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Diversity) meets to discuss items on our [agenda](https://pagure.io/fedora-diversity/issues).
The goal of this diversity initiative is to help promote an inclusive community within Fedora. To do this, we assist the Diversity Advisor with the planning and implementation of diversity efforts such as the enforcement of the code of conduct, creating content highlighting the diverse community in Fedora, and offering workshops and fostering communication between Fedora sub-projects.
