Fducon Emea Milan 2011 T-shirt
by Storari Samuele
Hi guys,
I've got some ideas about the t-shit for the coming Fudcon in Milan this
fall.
Maybe you can help me with some feedback, and some new ideas and design.
Let me know you guess.

Team Meeting Time
by Máirín Duffy
Hi,
Elad asked if we could move the meeting earlier so it's easier for him
to attend. We do have a lot of new contributors so I think it makes
sense to think about what meeting times might be better. So I created is
a WhenIsGood URL for us to figure out what meeting times work. If you
regularly attend meetings or would like to regularly attend meetings,
would you mind taking some time to fill this out?
http://whenisgood.net/fedoradesignteam
If you don't intend to attend meetings it's okay to skip filling this
out.
Thanks,
~m

Fudcon EMEA
by Storari Samuele
Hi guys,
it's been a long time since last my email on this mailing list, but I've
heard FUDCon EMEA is coming to Italy and the Italian ambassadors and I want
to help in the best way to make the event possible.
I've never been involved in FUDCon preparations (I saw some banners,
t-shirts, etc...), and I hope I can help doing something.
Do you already have some ideas for the FUDCon Milan 2011?
Let me know and see you soon! (Maybe we can schedule a meeting in irc..
can't we?)
Ciao

Design Team Liaisons (for Other Fedora Groups)
by twohot
> 21:10:08 <vinzv> okay, as you might have seen there was thread on design-team list about volunteering in an events liaison

> 21:10:37 <cwickert> this one
> 21:10:49 <vinzv> right
> 21:11:34 <vinzv> buddhika kurera and me stepped up
> 21:12:04 <vinzv> so the design team has now two contact persons for any needs of ambassadors
Hmm. So, where does that leave me?
*No problem*. The Liaison concept is great. I just remembered
discussing the 'Join the Ambassador' website UX with in our meeting. I
suggested a more graphical approach since some applicants think the
pages are somewhat scholarly. I don't know ... just a thought, but who
knows????... might turn out great. That might be another area for a
Liaison work.

Events Ninjas tickets
by Máirín Duffy
Hey events ninjas,
So I mentioned this ticket to Vinz the other night on identi.ca as a
good potential project for the Events Ninjas to take on (if you events
ninja think it's a good idea, if not please feel free to close the
ticket):
Release Party Kit
https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/11
There's another one I just remembered:
Event Signage Kit
https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/12
I think the event signage kit ticket might be something useful to look
at / keep in mind when you discuss the FUDCon EMEA design work Samuele
and Tatica have been working on this Friday at the FUDcon meeting.

Volunteer needed: events liasion?
by Máirín Duffy
Hi folks!
You may have noticed over the past few weeks Tatica has stepped up as
the default wallpaper wrangler for Fedora 16, and Patrick Connelly has
stepped up as the supplemental wallpaper wrangler for Fedora 16.
I was wondering if there are any Fedora ambassadors on this list who are
also Fedora design team members who would be willing to step up into a
formal 'events liasion' role. This would involve coordinating between
the design team and ambassadors to make sure, as we get closer to Fedora
16's release, that the ambassadors will have all the materials they need
from design to ship and attend events. This might also involve some
clean up / organization of existing events materials to make it easier
for ambassadors to find the materials we've already created for them.
Events liasion is an okay title of course, but if you'd prefer
'Executive Events Ninja' or 'Events Panda' or whatnot, we can be
flexible, right? :)
Let me know,

Anyone willing to package Gimp Separate+ ?
by Luya Tshimbalanga
Gimp had been criticized for the lack of CMYK support. While there is
some truth until the full implementation of GEGL, Gimp can export into
CMYK with the use of plugin called Separate+. It is not perfect per se,
separate+ provide excellent tool to properly convert RGB to CMYK.
I was surprised that extension was not included in Fedora repository for
years. Spec file is available [1]
courtesy of OpenMamba should anyone interested to package it for
Fedora Project. Otherwise, I will step to port it.
