Introduction
by Stephanie Manuel
Hello,
My name is Stephanie and I am the new OPW intern for Fedora, working with Mairin Duffy on the Anaconda interface for the next few months. I am currently in my 3rd year at University of California, Merced (UCM) pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Working on the usability and the user interface of websites and applications is what I would like to do after I graduate, and I am very excited about this internship! I can be contacted at smanuel16(a)fedoraproject.org.
Thank you,
Stephanie

Re: [Design-team] 10 Tshirt slogan ideas
by Wesley
I suppose a good concept would be an X-ray style shot of the lungs and heart, only the heart would be a "fedora core" of sorts, and entering the lungs would be particles of Fedora's four F's.

I like B, and I like D with the variants. I could also see some potential
on postcards or shirts to have images instead of colors in the variants.
The first thing that sprung to mind was if it was strange to use some kind
of radio image, since we're broadcasting information, and the initials are
FM. But that's also a bit beyond the usual Fedora [Thing] logo style.

New home for the Design Team artboard!
by Máirín Duffy
Hi folks!
So I have some pretty good news! Seth on the infrastructure team has
migrated our artboard over to a cloud server, and we're getting a nicer
and more memorable domain name for it as a result:
http://artboard.cloud.fedoraproject.org
All of your artwork and accounts have been preserved and are still
there. The old url, publictest04.fedoraproject.org/artboard, is going to
be decommissioned - please don't upload any more content or make any
more comments on that system. Seth is looking at having the URL redirect
to the new URL in case you have old bookmarks / forget about the new
URL.
Longer-term, I have been looking into setting up a nicer artboard style
server for us - it's an open source platform called eadrax. You can see
a demo of it up and running at:
http://wipup.org
That's probably going to be a more long-term project though, since I
don't have time to set it up right now, unless anybody here is
interested / has time to do it. It's a php app, it's not too hard to set
up but I had to debug some things with it / modify the httpd.conf to get
it running... setting it up requires knowledge / familiarity with
setting up and configuring mysql DBs as well. Seth can provide a cloud
server for getting it set up. If you are interested in helping out by
deploying eadrax, that would be awesome. The upstream code / etc is
here: https://github.com/Eadrax/Eadrax
Cheers,
~m

Final wallpaper status
by Jaroslav Reznik
Hi,
looking on Artwork/Schedule [1] it seems it wasn't updated
according to the last schedule change - the final change
deadline was moved by one week earlier and the last stable
push will happen tonight! 23:59:59 UTC - what's the current
state of final wallpapers? Is there still some work needed
or current version could be considered as final?
Otherwise in case the update will be needed, let me know.
The question is what to do with several schedule copies
on wiki - I can definitely try to help with Design team
schedule wiki page, not sure how this scales (as it's
not the only duplicate...).
Thanks
Jaroslav
