Need help with designing logo for Waartaa (https://www.waartaa.com)

Hi,

We need help to come up with a logo for Waartaa. However, we are not
skilled enough to come up with a logo for our project.

Sarup Banskota came up with some initial concept sketches for the logo
of Waartaa at [1].

I, personally, wanted some Indic touch to the logo. I wanted व from
वार्ता to be a part of the logo in an abstract way.

Please feel free to share your ideas as well.

My instant thought would be to replace the "w" (that currently doubles up
as the mouth) with a "व", styled in a way such that it blends with the
entire thing. Maybe others have better ideas?

As for the digitizing, I'm going to try digitizing Fedora.next logos this
weekend with some help from Mo, so on Monday, I can attempt to digitize
Waartaa logos.

It's Monday! I've started working on few ideas - you'll find them here[1].
Coming week is going to be pretty busy, but if I find time to work on more
ideas, I'll make sure to publish them onto the waartaa section of my
fedorapeople page[2]. Maybe when there's some more ideas, I'll blog about
it as well!

As with everything, I'd love feedback on these ideas! All of them have a
Fedora touch to it, but should make sense even without thinking about the
Fedora relationship :) I've tried to incorporate the 'व' into the third
one. After spending some time on replacing the mouth with the 'व', it just
didn't blend that well.

First of all, sorry for the delay in sharing my feedback :(
I love the first logo from [1]. I perceive the following things from the image:
- W is kind of a mouth, which represents 'w' from Waartaa and as well to speak.
- The eyes and W, combined together looks like two persons shaking
hands, representing collaboration
- I can see a subtle 'व' in the 'a' used in the text 'waartaa'
- The Fedora bubble also looks like a message bubble
- Finally, the cloud hat ;)

Did I perceive the concept correctly? If so, I believe that this logo
incorporates all of Waartaa's ideologies and goals.

However, I feel something missing near the cloud hat part over the
face. It feels like the hat and the face are on different planes. I
sense some emptiness in that region. What do you think?

You've totally got the idea :) All the other points are absolutely correct,
but I didn't quite feel the 'a' in the font (Comfortaa) doubled up as a 'व
'- that's why you'll notice I hacked it a bit to produce the 'व' in the 3rd
one's eyes.

I actually had the same concern, so I tried to make the face look
'embedded'. However, I was running short on time + my inkscape skills
weren't good enough, so I couldn't do it then. I'll give it a shot next
time I work on the logos (which should be soon). I was also thinking polka
dots on the cloud-hat would help, but maybe that'll render the thing busy
on smaller sizes.

My personal choice is wartaa2.png

Font is PT Sans Narrow (SIL Open Font License). More colors can be made as
requested. I am not a fan of this color but Ratnadeep requested to make the
color similar to that of website. I like tho color on WIP logo :)

@Yogi, I like the concept. +1

I can see that the 'a' in Waartaa is also an abstracted व. This
removes the need for having a 'व' inside the message bubble icon.
Waartaa is aimed to be an open communication and collaboration tool
for teams and communities.

The bubble icon represents communication. A few more people (2 or 3)
can represent a team and community. And, we need something to show
collaboration. I stumbled across

for collaboration.

What do you all think?

So If I already using ‘a’ in waartaa word, I don’t need to put व in the
logo, isn’t?
Btw, when I translate व, it means ‘and’ is it right?

If needed, we can pick a new color scheme for Waartaa as well.
