+1 on audio/video meetings. It might help us resolve tickets or brainstorm faster - like hack sessions perhaps. Maybe one of the two monthly meetings could be in audio/video ?
Also, I wanted to attend the last meeting but since DST changed the timezones it became tough i.e. if the meetings are at UTC 1200 the meeting should always be at 1730 in India since India doesn't follow DST but last meeting happened at 1630 due DST change. Anyway, 1730 works well for me atleast for now but I am not sure about summer - will know in a few weeks.

Hmm, this is actually a pretty interesting idea. What if one of our two meetings a month was in an audio/video call format? I hadn't considered this, but it could actually enable us to be more productive on some of these issues that take a lot of time to work through.
I'm open to this idea, but I also don't know how much my vote should count here since I'm only going to be able to make it for two or three more meetings until August.
As far as my availability goes, I'm okay with the day and the time.

Hey everyone, During our meeting today, we had a brief discussion towards the end about our meeting times and whether they are effective. For the past
few
meetings after the FAD, activity hasn't been consistent. In February, our meetings had seven attendees, but across March and April so far,
our
meetings have been between 3-5 active participants. The past few months have been busy for a lot of people for different reasons, but we were thinking it might be helpful to check in and see what people are thinking about the existing meeting time. Would it be helpful to move it to a different day or time? Is there something
that
would help make the meeting time more accessible? We were thinking two things today in the meeting: (1) Possibly finding a new time (2) Extending meeting time slot by 30 minutes We're most effective when we have active participation and we have sufficient time to cover our topics. We would be interested to know
what
you all think about this and if a new time would work well. If you
have
any other feedback on how to make our meetings more accessible or engaging? Please let us know your thoughts. :) Thanks! -- Cheers, Justin W. Flory jflory7@gmail.com <mailto:jflory7@gmail.com>

If nobody objects to this, do we want to try doing this for the first meeting of every month? So the next one would be 3 May when we try an audio/video meeting?

My schedule is flexible at the moment, so it won't be an issue for me to shift back an hour forward in CET. I'm +1 for 12:00 UTC (or 14:00 CET for me, Radka, Jona, and Brian).

That would be harder for people.
Chat/IRC is more concrete.

The problem we're facing now is that we're having lower attendance in our IRC meetings and we're also trying to fit a lot of content into an hour. The suggestion to have audio/video meetings for one of our two monthly meetings is a method for our team to have to have a chance to collaborate and talk things over, in the same way that helped us in our FAD.
I understand accessibility with audio/video is a major concern, and this is also something that completely varies by region / country too (for quality of Internet). However, I think the balance of having one of the two meetings being audio/video and one being on IRC is a flexible option that lets us maximize the time we have together to be most effective, but does keep our meetings accessible for those who prefer text-based discussions.
Does this seem fair? Thanks for weighing in on this.
