I personally like better the color palette in "Rocket Trails 2", but I
can understand why some would prefer "Rocket Trails Colored".

My thoughts are exactly same about these designs. BTW, when I looked at
these designs last week, my roommate asked [jokingly] whether Fedora
becomes Debian. I guess the swirls might remind someone of the Debian
logo... Not that it's a bad thing ;-)
