Looks like we're off to a great start - thanks for bringing this a step
closer to being a real thing!

It does suck that we won't have The Mel on our side, and I agree we need to
find some more language experts. Armed with dates for the event, I can try
my hand again at poaching some developers. And remember, serious JavaScript
programmers may be just as useful as Java programmers, since a decent chunk
of the app is server-side JS. We'll want a mixture of programmers and
packaging/deployment people. And polyglots in general--people who can parse
unfamiliar languages, since I doubt we're going to meet our quota on people
that know Scala.

I wouldn't worry so much about lunch at Masala Art. Either we announce it as
pay-your-own-way, and make exceptions for the people who've flown or train'd
in for the event; or we can look for someplace cheaper to go; or we can
order in from someplace cheaper, using the magic of foodler.com. You can
feel free to lean on the expertise of alumni in this regard - we are a font
of knowledge for things to do in metro-west.
