I just updated to the F30 beta. I'm pretty sensitive to color, so I use the high-contrast black and white theme. In F29 and previous, this resulted in a matching icon in the dash (well, dock, as I am using that extension). However, in F30, I get a high-res icon which does not match.

A screenshot might help see what you're seeing; in my case, enabling high-contrast on F30 is only changing a scant minority of app icons, even in fact, and gnome-terminal is not one of them.

I think I'm experiencing a bug. An hour later, with high-contrast disabled, I now have about 50% of my application icons showing as high-contrast. And there are applications inside of groups (not sure what that's called) that appear as high contrast in the grouping, but when I click on that group to expose the apps inside, none of them are high-contrast.
Slso, app icons that are high-contrast in Activities overview are not high-contast on the Favorites "dock".
So yeah, something's goofy.

Yes, this is a (fixed) gnome-shell bug: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/issues/1117

This is not the issue I'm seeing. In my case, the non-high-contrast icon persists across reboots.
