Hi there, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but here it goes; Since I'm getting more and more of a Fedora enthusiast I was looking for some cool office accessories today. After doing a quick search I ended up at RedHat's on-line store with a very limited range of accessories. Anyway, I noticed the $2,- decals and I put a few of them in my shopping chart. (about 5). While trying to figure out the rest of the order procedure I came across the shipping costs. It turned out that $65 (or $120 depending on shipping method) would be added to the current order (still 5 stickers) to get them shipped over to The Netherlands. Heck, if the money would all go to the Fedora Project I might have even considered buying them but I wasn't planning on sponsoring UPS too. :) After taking a little bit more time I bumped into an other possibility; a French web-shop which had a whole wardrobe of fedora clothing (and yet again very limited accessories). Besides that, I don't know French and I couldn't discover a possibility to switch to English (I might have not looked good enough though). So still no luck. I also found out that there's a Fedora Shop SIG at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/SIGs/Store (referring to this mailinglist). Unfortunately the most recent activity seems to be somewhere around in 2008. Now my actual question; is this SIG still alive and if not, how much interest is there to reincarnate it? I'd be happy to assist where I can. The reason that I'm asking here is because the page doesn't state on contacting a person or other mailing-list than this one. Fedora 12 Beta Release Notes: How you can help

Hi, As I noted in the last marketing meeting could have done a better than with the release notes for the Alpha release than we did. I just ran out of time. The Beta release is schedule at 2009-10-13. So we don't really have too much time. As promised, here are more details. The Beta release notes is a important source of information for our users, testers, ambassadors, even fellow developers and press for that release. So I am asking you all to help you a bit. Here is how: I have "open sourced" my process of finding information and my notes and copied over all that information to https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_12_Beta_release_notes If you don't have much time, take one item in this list and add more information. I will also help you avoid even clicking on a link and copy the same information below: Quick notes: * Hybrid ISO - earlier revision in Alpha release notes history. Confirm that it works well before adding it here * Status of http://www.ing.unibs.it/openfwwf/ in Fedora? How well does it work? * Moblin - Explain in detail with potentially a screencast * GNOME Shell - Ogg Screencast possibly with voice over * Yum Presto - In GNOME and KDE groups. What about delta rpm generation? * http://live.gnome.org/GTK%2B/ClientSideWindows - Eclipse and Adobe Reader needs a workaround * Abrt - whats the status? * Anaconda MDRaid - Explain in detail * Lower Process Capabilities * Contact KDE SIG and gather important changes. Phonon has changed to gstreamer backend in Alpha release and was not mentioned. So call it out in the Beta release. Additional sources: * Look at F11 Preview release notes and use it as a template. It matches the beta this release because of rel eng decision to tweak the release process a bit * Read rawhide reports in between alpha and beta release for new packages as well as import changes worth noting here * Quickly skimp through all threads in fedora-devel and fedora-test list for note worthy changes * Read Planet Fedora and reference developer blogs when important changes are mentioned * Consult with QA team and make sure note worth issues are mentioned. Fedora Insight status

To keep everyone in the loop - here's what's up (see log at end of email). As promised, I'll be updating the actual project page to reflect status later tonight (must find food first; stomach rumbly) - progress is *extremely* rapid right now, so keeping everything in sync will be a challenge. For future reference for where these discussions will be taking place: zikula-deployment-related things (modules, packaging, infrastructure, theming, etc) will all be on the logistics list. FI-content/workflow-related-things will all be on the marketing list. There will be a lot of overlap for the next few weeks, since the modules we're working on for deployment heavily affect the workflow we'll be using for our content. If you're on both lists, you'll get everything. If you're only concerned with zikula deployment and don't care about the details of how FI content will function, watch logistics. If you're only concerned with FI as a platform for marketing materials and don't care about the details of how that platform gets set up, watch marketing. We might have a few torrents of information on this over the next few weeks, as I will be erring on the side of transparency (information on what is happening available to everybody all the time). In particular, IRC conversations on FI zikula deployment will be summarized (and logged when possible) and sent to list - thanks to Rahul for the transparency-poke. We're moving fast, so things are chaotic. Thanks for keeping up and putting up with the construction mud and noise - I am *amazed* at how this is progressing. Fedora Insight Zikula Instance - please help us find a packager

Marketing folks: We need packaging (or packager-recruiting) help. I'm going to be traveling in some way for the next 12 hours, but in that time we need to find someone to do two simple packages (it looks like they'll be extremely fast for an experienced packager, and Toshio stands ready to review them tonight whenever they are ready). We need the two modules listed at http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/logistics/2009-August/000185.html for Fedora Insight, preferably within the next 24 hours. We need these packages in order to have RSS feeds and events blocks on the F12 deployment of FI. Can anyone package or help find someone who can package?
