On #fedora-mktg. 1900 UTC, 3pm Eastern US.
The agenda, as always: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing/Tasks
* Talk bubble stickers. Mo, an update? * Wish list for Istanbul videos. MichaelBeckwith has some ideas. * Event box update from JeffreyTadlock.
And then, I'd like to talk about collateral. It's all over the place. I think it might be useful to get one kick-ass repository of all the awesome Fedora content. (Maybe even... an RPM. Crazy? Shocking? "yum install fedora-mktg-stuff"? You tell me.)
Let's kick some ideas around today.

Not shocking at all! It should be super-easy to get a fedorahosted repository of this stuff in source form. I hate to get all engineer-y and say "yay, git!" but *something* where we can do revision control would behoove us. With so much of this in SVG or other text-based formats, it'd make sense I hope.

I have a $dayjob conflict today. So here is an update in the event I am not there.
I posted a new thread to the Ambassador list:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-ambassadors-list/2008-June/msg00014.h...
with some feedback and comments in that thread.
I have updated the Event Box page in the wiki:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/EventBox
I mainly checked the pricing and listed an option for a mini-PC style machine to include in the event box if we want to provide a standard computer to folks.
I also estimated shipping costs for an 85 pound container from mid-US to both coasts - those costs were between $65 and $85-ish.
I will catch up via the meeting log, so if there are questions feel free to bring them up in the meeting or post the email list.
Thanks! Jeffrey

Speaking of screencasts.... I've been re-learning the gstreamer syntax so I can update the audio splice script that was originally created for gst 0.8 on the ScreenCasting page.
I have a working script again. Should I put it back into the wiki? If you are interesting in having multiple versions of the same videos with different audio, I would image this would be very handy.

Absolutely you should!

Done.
As noted in the other thread. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/ScreenCasting has an updated version of fedora-av-splice.sh which should work with gst-launch 0.10 as seen in Fedora 8 and 9. The script is archived in the wiki here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Image:ScreenCasting_fedora-av-splice.sh
I haven't fixed any other scripts on the Screencasting page yet. Honestly I think this page needs to be blown up and redone in the context of an organized effort at screencasting.
If video-ographers need specific gsteamer pipeline scripts like fedora-av-splice to help with specific aspects of video production, I can probably help create them as needed. Though I hope to see more effort to flush out pitivi so we don't have to dive down to the cmdline and use scipts like fedora-av-splice by F11.
