Hi, marketing team! Some time ago, it was intended to be among my primary work to lead this team, but that's been a while, and I have a lot of other priorities at Red Hat now. The F21 launch is fast approaching, and it would be great if someone would be willing to step up to lead the marketing team. It can be a big time commitment, as we often go through periods without a lot of active contributors on this team interspersed with spurts of activity. But I'd love to see someone take over and make a killer launch for 21! Who's up for it?
Ruth
Hi Ruth,
I would like to apply for this position. I have done a lot of work getting the magazine up and running and have been very proud and really found my place when joining your team. I always am advocating Fedora to people and my excitement and dedication to the Marketing team since I joined has always been there if something needed done right on the spot and I have defiantly made some friends along the way.

I probably don't have enough time here to be considered qualified, but I'd be happy to help out if needed. I've had some ideas for a long time about how to really push Fedora adoption and F21-22 would be a great time to refine and implement them. I am always trying to promote Fedora either as an Ambassador in events or online, writing articles in the Magazine, at the very early times of the Magazine, when there were only 3 articles posted.
Although I didn't contribute as much as I would like in the marketing team at the last couple of months(due to my finals exams in May) I would like to apply, because I think that after contributing actively in Fedora Marketing team and the Magazine, and preparing for new releases of Fedora, I have realized how the Marketing team works and operates.
There are many plans and ideas that I would like to implement and try with the support and the collection of helpful ideas & suggestions from the rest of the Marketing team, so we can altogether make a superior F21 launch.
With the help of our great community we will do our best for a great F21 launch, and learn from our mistakes, so we will make an even better F22 launch in the future.
And even If I don't qualify to lead the marketing team, I would do whatever is possible to make an awesome F21 launch with the help of the team.
Warm Regards, Zacharias Mitzelos
I'm glad to see several people interested -- awesome! The last thing I want, though, is to have some sort of cage match over who gets a fancy team lead scepter, and I don't think marketing has ever been so formal that there's a process.
How about scheduling a meeting where we can all get together and work out how we want to share responsibility (and what little authority there might be)? There's probably room for a co-leads, or rotating duties, or something else (maybe we even _do_ want to add more formality?)... just as long as we don't end up dividing and then rounding down to zero.

I like this way of doing. Marketing is a strategic group for fedora and there's a lot of people too much silent (just like me). It's time to figure out who's really interested not only to lead the group, but to share projects, activities and so on. I don't like the ones who list their skills or what they did in the past; I would love someone saying the way ahead. I don't wanna be a leader of this group, I wanna give my aid in some way. Marketing covers several aspects of promoting, and the best solution is to have an horizontal hierarchy. I'll be glad to contribute in that way. ___________________________ Gabriele Trombini Fedora Ambassador FedoraOnLine staff member

I was just about to suggest the same thing, and you beat me to it. :-)
Chris, when you're picking from the whenisgood, I only marked Thursday, as it's OSCON week. If it's Mon-Wed, I can probably find a corner to hop online from though, with the exception of during my talk and book signing slots on Tuesday.
