No, but I think it would be something lovely that you could request

I'm not very sure one's need a template... the more slides get cluttered
by irrelevant items (logos and so on), the less the message makes its way.
Few words, light slides and a strong message. It should do the work :)
May I suggest you a very good reading about presentation, Presentation
Zen, by Garr Reynold.

I actually joined the design-team meeting today - they are going to
have a bi-weekly bounty to make a OO impress template /background /
standard fonts / etc. for this request.

I haven't filed a request and I had seen much work done in the past.
And yes, I do agree with the previous reply about simplicity, the most
important on a presentation is the balance and contrast. I've many
presentations with very good graphical but displaying the contents very
poorly, specially with low end beamers or beamers, anything bellow 3000
lumens might become problematic in certain environments.
Anyway, I'll scrap up a template based on Goddard work. I've talked in
the past with Máirín, and I understand that they are overhelmed in some
points. There's also a good template from GeroldKa.
I'll send up mine once it's done. My skills with Impress are pretty
low, but it's always a good time to learn.

Robyn,
will do. for me it isn't mandatory, and in fact I only have one
requirement which is more out of the Impress scope: how it will look
when converted into PDF.
I'll see if I can help them out and maybe learn something from them :)
This template is actually for 'ickarus', something I want to donate
soon to Fedora Marketing and hopefully a startup point for
inter-distribution cooperation ;)
