[Fedora-ambassadors-list] Live : promotional material

Hai there,

Following the promotional material on the livecd, and refering to a
previous mailing discussion, we decided to add promotional material of
Fedora on the desktop of the fedora live cd (beta)

We, DavidNalley and I decided to work on 2 items:

item 1 : videos
   DavidNalley will come with some updates soon.

item 2 : select appropriate presentations/handouts to display on the
livecd and the kadischi impress document.
  concerning this part, Ive chosen the handouts in french and english
as well as greg's linuxasia presentation. by the way, that
presentation is great :) gregdek +1

I was thinking about to add only the presentations made on 2006 ! what
do you think knowing the fact that its a FC5 livecd?

If translators can translate the handouts in other languages it would
be great too :)
Too many materials would burst a 700mb CD :( So we must choose the
appropriate one.

If I missed some important materials, do point them to me because I
would that the livecd might be helpful to any ambassador during their
conference or events/shows.

but as you can see the index.html file is not so pretty, im calling
for "visual" enhancements :)
this index.html will contain links of videos, handouts and
presentations (in pdf) as you can see .

if anyone wants share an enhanced index.html with more relevant
contents, she/he is welcome. (ive attached my lame index.html to this
mail)

Im looking forward to upload another livecd by tomorrow night (im not
promising anything). an english version this times :) I can see many
will smile :)

Yes, there are some updates compared to the first beta, I don't know
whether you tried it or not.

Dear Chitlesh,
          You're going great about the promotion of the Live CD.
                        About my contribution I can transalte the handouts
in Nepali and may be tomrrow and tonight I'll be forwarding an enchanced
index.html.

Hello abhishek,
can you just forward me your index.html as soon as possible, I really
want to upload a livecd today.
the handouts we can add it in the next release :)

Hai Chitlesh,

Thanks for the update on your work in this area. However the Ambassadors
list is slightly off topic for this from what I understand. I would
think that the Ambassadors list should be focused on speaking events and
also getting schwag to Ambassadors, all other marketing related topics
should see daylight on the marketing list.  

Please correct me if I am wrong but the Ambassadors list is private so
items that should not be publicly disclosed should be discussed here. In
contrast items that the community as a whole should have input on should
always take place in a public forum.

Hello Bob,

It might be off topic for this list.
the idea behind this is to gather at least materials needed by
ambassadors that might be useful during their events/conferences. I
could then include these contents inside my livecd since there was a
demand for a livecd among ambassadors. Might be useful :)

Im working on different parts of Kadischi right now. Since in

# Add some good introductory and promotional material in a desktop
folder by default

# provide a Fedora introduction in the bootup prompt by default

I thought it might be a good idea to post here, in order to be on the
right track. But I can move the discussion to the marketing-list if
you want, but not to a forum!

Hi,

I think it could be a good idea to send info like that to both,
ambassadors and marketing list. In my opinion ambassadors need to know
news about a promotial material.
