Hi,
Thank you for this info, I'm planning several short presentations about
Fedora Project at the University of Galati, Romania, and I did not know from
where / how to get Fedora 11 CDs / DVDs.

Hello FAms,
I have successfully completed the FIRST FAD in Sri Lanka yesterday at SLIIT,
Colombo.
The main objective of this event is to get the IT undergraduates' support
towards the Fedora project and increase the number of contributors from Sri
Lanka.
The event took place in the morning 9:00 - 11:00 am. Myself handle the whole
event and discussed following topics.
* What is the Fedora Project
* Why and How to Join
* Introduction to some teams in the fedora project
* Fedora LK Community launch
The event is really successful and waiting to see more contributors from
Fedora LK Community.
LK Community Wiki - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/LK_Community
LK Community ML - https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/lk-users
Further fedora join page is being translated in to si and hoping to cover
all the other teams' join pages as well.

Hi guys,
there are some important updates about Hotel reservation in Milan.
Yesterday we got the notification from the "UNA Hotel Mediterraneo" that all
the rooms are fully booked.
Fedora Group has already reserved a pool of 20 rooms (and they are still
reserved for us), but unfortunately there's no more room for other people.
So, we arranged another agreement with an hotel very closed to that one
(Hotel Perugino). It's just 5 minutes walking from the other one. Both
hotels are listed on the wiki as suggested hotels and you can find all
details there. We have also the same price (85 euros per night, taxes,
breakfast and wifi included).
On this spreadsheet you can see the current arrangement for the rooms:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmzMMPA67hiGdEhZWUxRa2lfbFd2M0…
If you need to reserve a room and your name is not there, give me a call (by
mail or gTalk on fcrippa(a)byte-code.com) so that we can add your name on the
spreadsheet and make the reservation to the hotel.
You can also reserve the room by yourself. In that case be sure the hotel:
1. understands your language (if you speak Italian, you're fine!) ;-)
2. is aware you are part of the "Fedora Group"
3. is applying the proper daily rate (85 EUR a day, taxes, breakfast and
wifi included)
I'm always available in case of problems.
See you in Milan soon!
Take care
Francesco
Hey, folks. Thought I'd drop a quick heads-up to the list about the
Fedora 16 i18n / l10n test week that starts tomorrow - more info in my
blog post here:
http://www.happyassassin.net/2011/08/29/fedora-16-localization-internationa…
this obviously has special interest to a lot of regional ambassadors -
it's a really great opportunity to help make sure F16 has great
translations for your language, proper font rendering, working input
methods and so on. If everyone could pass on the word in their local
area that'd be great. I apologize for the short notice of the first
event (tomorrow). Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words. Credit for the success of this event should really be given to Magie, who coordinated the celebration of 15 teams in 7 countries in her capacity as a member of the Linux Day Advisory Council (http://linuxday.org/) She was also the team leader for the Linux Day celebration at the National Computer Center (http://linuxday.bluepoint.com.ph/)
