Hi all,
this years FUDCon EMEA will be a great opportunity for FADs. I would like to share ideas which topics could be nice.
Here are my suggestions:
Desktop Usability FAD Artwork FAD (as we will also have the Libre Graphics guys and girls hanging around)
Please comment ...

Please tell more about "Libre Graphics guys and girls", a couple of weeks ago at the Libre Graphics Meeting in Brussels there were 3 of us from the Design Team, but to my knowledge no Fedora user or ambassador attended. Who are you counting on for this?

^^ to be honest, as far as it was my understanding is a FUDCon a "bigger" FAD and needs not to be announced as a FAD :-P C U in Zurich

I am not sure if FAD is the right wording. I meant workshops/BoFs, meetings with shared interests.

BarCamp sessions
The FUDCon event is flexible and can contain hackfests, workshops or BoFs for people with shared interests, and technical sessions in BarCamp style too. These are all just different styles of getting together to learn or do useful things in and with Fedora.
Ideally, each hackfest should have one or more session leaders who can set up the goal of the session, but other types of gatherings have their own formats.
It's important to have clear ownership for sessions with leaders, with someone responsible and accountable for running each one. And to have the content out in plenty of time, and advertised widely of course!

Thanks for summing-up :)

So let's just start with the artwork stuff. @Nicu, do you thing you could set up a workshop, e.g. something like 'getting started with inkscape', maybe together with Alessandro Rimoldi, from Libre Graphics? Of couse you can also hack on specific tasks but an additional workshop, where everybody who's interested could take part, would be really nice.
And what about Pierros? If you are 'listening', are you planning to attend, too?

I don't know Alessandro, but expect to have there at least a few people related to the Fedora Design Team, so I am sure we can do something. Waiting for the pre-registrations page to be opened, so I can have an idea on who we can count to be there.
In parallel with that, I think about some photography stuff there, also waiting to see who pre-registers.

I pretty much count on Pierros to be there :p
