.... too much.
Catchy subject, isn't it? ;) I hope I have everybody's attention now.
I just came home from biking and while I was away, two people pinged me and asked if we were supposed to have an EMEA ambassadors meeting. No, it was supposed to be last week, because of the Germany vs. Netherlands soccer match, I was not able to host it. I sent out a warning before I left and asked, if someone else would run the meeting. Unfortunately nobody did.
Instead somebody suggested, to delay the meeting by a week. Too bad, he did not ask this on the mailing list, so I was not aware of this. Long story short: We basically missed two meetings. At least one should have taken place, either tonight or last week.
Please, do not rely on me too much. I am trying my best, but the Fedora ambassadors don't depend on me. Everybody can run a meeting. You don't need me to do it.
So next time there is a meeting and I am not around, just go ahead. Ping people in #fedora-ambassadors and start the meeting. Don't ask, don't think about it too long, just do it. I know you can!
Kind regards, Christoph

+1. We are all ambassadors.
Christoph is really nice, but he is not the only person can do such a meeting. We can certainly get a lot of advice from him, but we should not depend on him.
In this factor, APAC do better than EMEA, I think so (sorry :). In APAC, we have three or more people can chair a meeting although we all still rely on David.
Next time, I will try (arranging time zone difference) to attend an EMEA meeting.
Kind regards, Tuan
Hello Everyone,
Greetings. :)

As food for thought, I help facilitate for APAC with three things:
1.) * Allow everyone to show up as a Leader * 2.) * Delegate to develop the people * 3.) * Create conditions of accountability and actions *
By empowering all APAC participants to "jump" in and "lead" the meetings as well as allowing co-chairs, we are able to move forward. We have structure and we work within that framework. :)
Next time, I will try (arranging time zone difference) to attend an EMEA meeting.
Working together we accomplish our goals. :)

That's exactly what I wanted to shoot last week or the one before when some amba were asking "why there were no emea meeting?". I have to hard time to make them, but always seen this painful to not have a fixed agenda wiki page... Yeah, I like this subject… It makes things really easier and affordable for all peoples to find the needed info.
BTW, thanks for your hard work on leading so many meetings Christoph!
