Question on GMA500 status

Just wondering if anyone out there has any new information on the
support of the "intel" GMA500 support in Fedora?

Of course I have read through Adam Williamson's (from Mandriva) blog
post on using the Ubuntu drivers

but that was back in May. Was hoping that something new has happen
with the poulsbo drivers.

Any help you guys may have is greatly appreciated.

I would love to have an open driver, but would settle for a not so
free solution until an open is available. Worst case, I can run VESA
for a while. Did on my Hp Mini 2133.

Have you tried compiling from source since, there is an Ubuntu driver  
available (if possible)?

Maybe you're talking about the poulsbo video module (driver)  Intel
Corporation System Controller Hub (SCH Poulsbo) Graphics Controller (rev 06)

The driver is really bad, but it works with a regular expectation and
sometimes freeze the screen sometimes causing a kernel panic and doesn't
work compiz.

I Have a dell inspiron mini 1010 working with this driver, i try F11
using VESA module but it works on 800x600 resolution.

I read somewhere that a gentoo user got fbdev to at least support the
native resolution of the Vaio P. Has anyone tried doing that in F11
for a Poulsbo/gma500 powered netbook?
