Participation in GITEX 2007

Fedora Ambassadors:

I would like to be involved in representing Fedora at GITEX 2007, held in
Dubai from September 8 to 12. There's a 95% probability that I can attend.

Since I'm new to the Fedora Ambassadors, but not Fedora Project, I would
appreciate any advice and assistance in getting this going.

The following is from the official website:

IT exhibition. Located in the business hub of the region and alongside
GULFCOMMS, the Middle East's Largest Telecommunications Event, GITEX

Hi John,
Dubai[1] as in UAE (United Arab Emirates)?
How are you planning to go over there?
Is your company is sending you there for a business trip?

Yes

I would be stopping over in Dubai as part of my outgoing flight
for my vacation. My current employer would be paying for the
ticket as part of my employment contract.

The only real expenses incurred would be the cost of a hotel room
(or perhaps I can stay with a friend as an alternative) and admission
to GITEX (which might be covered by an invitation by an
exhibitor).

In other words, I would be able to do it very cheaply. At least,
that's the plan.

What is the next step? Should I add it as a future event and see if I can
get some more people involved?

Yes, please add the event to FedoraEvents[1] and let us know any
changes in the status as it happens.
