That seems reasonable too.

Talking Points
by Jaroslav Reznik
Hi,
as I mentioned it today on docs meeting - there was agreement
with marketing, that docs team is going to write the announcement
and it will be polished/"marketized" by marketing team. But we
still have Talking Points - current SOP says, marketing team is
owner [1].
As it's going to be heavily based on the RN and the announcement
(or vice versa), it would make sense to be written by docs team
too. Are you, as a team, ok with it?
>From Ambassador POV it's a nice idea to have a list of Features
we can talk about. Also in cooperation with Design team (task
for marketing probably) nice flyers/posters could be produced.
(Don't want to cross-post too many lists, I'll ask both Design
and Ambassadors teams).
Other idea is to avoid tech journalists to use the raw Features
list (but as Robyn pointed out on the previous marketing list
thread, they probably won't...) but use something "more suitable
for media" that really features Features ;-)
Currently F18 Talking Points are poor orphans... [2].

Talking points & Features
by Jaroslav Reznik
Hi!
As there's a huge discussion regarding what Features should be and
how Features influences marketing - let's take a look back on the
what we can do there.
Initial idea of Features as far as I understand was to help
marketing, now it's definitely more internal tracking tool for the
development and probably should not be used by tech journalist etc.
as it's frequently updated, could be out of sync with what's really
in release some times and of course, Feature pages usually provide
too much technical details to be used as a base for a good article.
Also I'd like to avoid limiting number of Features for development
because of marketing.
Well, we have Talking Points, we have Beats, also Announcement
picks up most important features in a less technical way. Could we
do more from PR? To offer tech journalists something more pre-
prepared - to avoid a lot of confusion, FUDs etc.? It's also very
close to Announcements itself.
We should definitely fill-in F18 Talking Points [1] based on release
announcements - not sure it makes sense to fill it in before Alpha/
Beta but for final, yep. It should also serve as a good source
for Final announcement. Who's usually responsible for Talking points
here?
Btw. reminder - Final announcement should be based on schedule
written during the Christmas holidays - I'd say the right time should
be before - so I'd like to ask marketing to start working on the
TP/announcement.
Thanks
Jaroslav

I am number 18 project - next steps
by Bogomil "Bogo" Shopov (Fedora Project)
Good morning guys,
As I promised I am sending more info about the project:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Bogomil/I_am_18
I just have 2 questions:
0. - I will need a hosting if we want this hosted on our infrastructure -
(PHP, SQL, PHPMyAdmin)
1. I will need some design help - how we can involve the design group in
this?
Procedure:
----------------------
1. Users will have a tiny submission interface where they have to fill the
URL of the picture and to choose the category.
2. There will be a tiny administrative interface for approving the pictures
3. Once they are approved will be shown on the campaign page.

HI, I'm Ryan, and i would love to start contributing to the Fedora
Marketing Team!
I have been a contributor to Fedora for about 5 years. During this time,
my main contributions have been to the Documentation and Design teams,
but it is now time for me to (hopefully) branch out into the Marketing
Team as well!

Hello Ankur,
This credit giving idea is a good one and will encourage people to contribute to this project . In fact everyone should share all these kind of posts on their social networking sites in order to make Fedora's presence felt. I have one question that why is Fedora not having a fan page on facebook?certainly that will help increasing Fedora planet's reach over closed Fedora community and users groups because the "only" page[1] which exists does not posts anything. It will increase the Fedora's reach for sure. But to my surprise Ubuntu has more than dozens of pages which are quite active. Hoping to see the same in Fedora community.

Hello Ruth and Jiri,
I have experience with wordpress (idevelogy.com) and my experience hs been excellent with this CMS .Its min advantage is its menu system. Its pretty arranged. That will we helpful to the starters.Like Jiri said,"content is what's going to make it successful".So, according to me,platform should not be an issue, but content should be. Expecting to have a magazine/blog for Fedora community soon.
Thank you,
