Not because of anything else, but because Red Hat *deliberately*
depleted the word of meaning... So others wouldn't be "confused", but
that actually turned out to be even more confusing.
I admit this whole thing has confused me, as well. I think it was less
a situation of "choice" and more one of "organic growth." We had
moved
ahead with the merger of RHL and Fedora.us into a single project, picked
a name, and put a distribution out with that name, before anyone noticed
we had created the "hat" problem.
Remember Hanlon's razor: "Never attribute to malice that which can be
adequately explained by stupidity."
