Some remarks:
Points 1-3 seems to be related to mobile phones (Android?). We don't
have any app permissions on Fedora/Linux.
Point 4 - 8 - password does no help you by any mean. If someone stole
your laptop it can be booted to runlevel 0 - rescue mode and you don't
need any password then. You can read all data. Only thing which helps
you it's home dir (or whole drive) encryption, which is also mandatory
for all laptops owned by various companies.
Point 10 - if you have skills to install third party code on linux you
probably know what you're doing. It's no so easy as on Windows.
"While surfing the world wide web…" chapter
- those tips may help you, but there are far more important ones:
1. Always have your browser up-to date, use the latest one
2. Don't install extensions from unknown sources, use official store.
3. Don't visit suspicious web sites (warez, p0rn, etc...) because those
usually contain malware/trojans. If you need to do so, use browser
private mode and/or sandboxed browser.
I'd also shorten the article/tips to increase readability.

Are you sure it's not so easy to install programmes from a third party
repository or a website? I don't think so. I have Telegram and another
thing that is just clicking on it and runs. I just downloaded them from a
website. And adding a third party repository like Russian Fedora or Google
is just downloading a RPM from somewhere and install it. It's not even
needed a console anymore, Gnome Software or Yumex does it for you, it's
just entering your admin password.
About passwords, it DOES help. Your thieves are specialised ones, kind of
hackers, but most of them just steal something of value to resell, the
farther they can go is erasing everything to install some illegal Windows.
And even that is too much, most of time they just make up and excuse and
trade the device. Buyers can do whatever they want afterwards. So maybe
you loss everything, but at least you didn't give away your personal stuff.
About app permissions... Do you use any social media? Did it ever
happened to you that a website asks you to use your
email/FB/Twitter/whatever account and then oh! surprise! it starts doing
strange stuff once you granted it? No? It happened to me until I learned
to read the small letters below whenever a website or webapp requests
permissions. And it happens over and over to many people all over the
world because most of them DON'T read the little letters. And even that,
some webs or webapps misbehave anyway.

Good to hear it's so smooth user experience, looks like Desktop team did
great job here.

I think there's some misunderstanding here.
If you mean web applications (Gmail, FB...) it's really important do
have a strong password. Also your other suggestions are correct (don't
give login away and so). But I guess it may be a part of the "Web
security" part of your article.
What I mean is the local user password you use to login to the computer
- it can be easily avoided so if you have some important data only
encryption can help here.

of people don't do it.

IMHO setting up encryption at install time in Fedora is super easy (just a
checkbox, then type in your password)
Adding a section as to why encrypting your laptop is a good idea (as well
as a strong user password) is probably a worthwhile addition. IMHO.
