Hello Jason,
We have an extensive, worldwide Ambassador program whose members
spread free software, and promote Fedora. We'd love to have your help
as well -- we have several people in New Jersey and Pennsylvania that
can help you get you started.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/CountryList#Northern_America
If you look on that list, you'll see entries for people around the USA
including your region, and I encourage you to email the people in your
region in a group. One or more of them should be able to reach out to
you, and may even be able to come speak to your group in person. I'm
sending a copy of this email to our fedora-ambassadors-list as well.
I encourage you to look at the wiki page for the Ambassadors program
to see whether you'd like to become part of our vibrant and rapidly
growing Fedora community:

What is it with this "Removed from FA list" issue?
by Saadeddine AlSaidi
Hello Fellow Ambassadors,
When I joined fedora I was informed that its a volunteer work, I'm starting
to hate the fact that I need to reply to every email that confirm that I'm
active or not. I'm spreading fedora in my environment(community) since
fedora 3 and still till now trying to spread more across the country. I
never asked for anything (Media, Funding,.....etc). So guys please if you
feel that there are people need to scratched from the list try to contact
them in person or at least let us create a group to monitor activities. I
don't know why did we reached over 2 million installation but I guess it was
the work of all of us spreading fedora and yet we will spread more and more.
Whatever bothering the guys of (remove from list),I want to tell you one
thing, if you have fedora installed and you recommended it for another user
than you are contributing to the fedora community. And whether people are
scratched or not they will always be faithful to fedora and continue
spreading.
So please try to think of something constructive to the community. create a
rule that oblige the ambassadors to follow in order to monitor activity.
come on guys simplest forums have some minor rules to keep the list clean.
for example a 15 days log-in to the system, fedoraproject.org.
Fedora is freedom, and to me is commitment, and I guess it is to you too.
Thank you for reading in advance.

[seminar] Conducted Linux Seminar at Ahmedabad Institute of Technology ( Engineering College)
by ElectroMech
Dear All,
I had conducted small Linux seminar at AIT college, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
for 4th sem. engineering students.
Date : 26/02/09
Time : 3:30 to 5:00 PM
Total strength was 55 student.
Duration : 90 Minutes.
I presented and discussed following topic at seminar.
WHAT IS OPEN SOURCE ?
WHY OPEN SOURCE ?
OPEN SOURCE AND LINUX
ADVANTAGES OF OPEN SOURCE.
LIMITATION OF OPEN SOURCE.
OPEN SOURCE IN DEVELOPMENT
OPEN SOURCE IN ADMIN
OPEN SOURCE CLUSTER
Other than above lots of questions were asked from students.
#What make open source stable.
#Why Linux is almost free from Viruses.
#How we can get support for Linux.
#How can we get h/w drivers for Linux.
#Can we use ASP.NET and M$SQL with Linux ?
Some interesting short discussion on above questions.
/*As a Fedora ambassador I had distributed 55 Fedora10 DVDs on this
occasion.*/
Thanks to Management and the Technical staff of AIT college.

A sincere Request: please avoid top posting and quoting entire texts
by Dhushyanth R
Hi everyone,
It's nice to know all of you are actively participating in the
ambassador activities. It really gives a source of inspiration to me,
knowing how all of us cutting across national boundaries can come
together and do something useful.
However, I just had a request to make. Can everyone please go through
the fedora-mailing list guidelines once again:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/MailinglistGuidelines#If_You_Are_Replying_t...
I know in a hurry, sometimes people forget those guidelines and just
click the "reply" button, but then it creates trouble for hundreds of
readers. Also to make the ambassador list more useful, we could keep
messages small, concise, and precise.
"Small is beautiful". ;)
regards
R Dhushyanth

Equivalent document for Fedora
by Harish Pillay
Ambassadors -
Hi. The following is from Linux Format and the document covers the use
of Ubuntu all the way. Can we find a way to get Linux Format to perhaps
update their Starter Pack with Fedora this time?

Thanks.

Fedora LiveCD Distribution Box
by Scott Seiersen
Hi all,
I'm planning to create a distribution box for the distribution of LiveCDs to like librarys and such.
Would anyone like to support me on this? Is it a good idea?
Thanks,
