Hello,
ITPF India, hosted a GNU/Linux seminar on 14 October, 2007 at their
premises in Indiranagar, Bangalore, India. I was requested to talk on
GNU/Linux for couple of hours. The participants of the seminar were
mostly young IT professionals wanting to learn about GNU/Linux. We
distributed Fedora 7 DVD to all the 15 participants free of cost.
I talked about free and open source software, GNU/Linux, Fedora and
also demonstrated few desktop applications. The session was
interactive and the participants asked technical questions mostly
related to desktop applications. I told about the great Fedora
community and how they could join the Fedora project. All of them are
very likely to switch to free and open source software.
