I have received couple of request from students outside of Dhaka (is our
capital city); they asked for travel assistance. If we sponsor 5 students
from 5 different part of the country, we won't need much more than 15,000
taka (less then 200 US$). This will give us an opportunity to widen the
horizon of Fedora Bangladesh community through other parts of the country.
They would become our outreach representatives and will help us to organize
event in their respective Universities. And they will replicate themselves
thus ensuring our existence in all over the country.
Moreover, every community is preparing themselves to bid for FUDCon in
upcoming years and we do need to solidify ourselves while spreading and
I would request you to revise the budget at apac-trac and add the travel
bursary amount. Let us try and request FAmSCo to allow our budget request.
