Websites requested a more effective tagline in get.fp.o.
The team discussed about it in [https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-
websites/ticket/349 this ticket]
Any proposal from creative people is welcome.
My ideas (with a peek on the three flavors) are something like:
"Fedora now .... and everywhere"
"Fedora! The complete OS"
"Fedora for all the systems"
"Get Fedora .... install everywhere"
"Fedora is here ..... install everywhere"
and so on...
Get.fp.o is the entrance door for our OS, so the tagline is really
important.
It has to be:
1) nice;
2) recognizable;
3) easy to remenber.

Fwd: Fedora Magazine
by Alex Eng
Hi,
I'm a member of G11n in Fedora working mainly on translations and Zanata
(platform we used for translation).
There is a suggestion in the group of seeing the possibility to get Fedora
Magazine localised to reach out more to users.
For initial investigation, few questions I would like to ask,
1) What type file format does Fedora Magazine created in? (Raw format like
txt, po, xml?)
2) What is the usual timeframe for QA on the content before it is publish?
(if localised, we might need to schedule QA for translations)
3) Is it possible to get a copy of the file for previous Fedora Magazine?
Would like to do some testing on Zanata.
Regards,

Systemd series -- need writers!
by Paul W. Frields
Hi all,
So sorry to be late on this. There's a systemd series in the works
that we'd like to get people to start working on. Anyone interested
in writing one of these? This is a great opportunity to get involved
even if you are more of a techie type, and don't want to have to
figure out a topic on your own. We've done it for you! :-)
If interested, just reply here on the list. Feel free to reach out to
community friends if you know someone who'd be interested, and get
them in touch with us.
* * *
systemd part 1: What is a unit file? What kind of things can it do?
Where should I modify or put new unit files on my system? How can I
find out what unit owns a process now running? How can I really kill
all processes for a unit?
systemd part 2: What are unit dependencies? How can you enforce
ordering of e.g. daemons or one-shot launches? How does this concept
lend to faster boot times?
systemd part 3: How can I more effectively use the systemd journal to
find and diagnose problems? [bound by time, by unit, since last boot,
other?...]
systemd part 4: How do I convert an existing SysVinit script into a
systemd unit file?
systemd part 5: How can I use a template unit file? [an example is the
getty service -- perhaps show how to launch multiple web hosts or
something this way?]
systemd part 6: How to mask a service unit (and why; difference
between this and disable)
*** Ashutosh already volunteered for this one! \o/

Magazine posts to G+ Page
by Lord Drachenblut
I've been going back on some of the magazine posts to the G+ page and
adding to them when I can who the author was and linking to their g+
profile and fedora wiki pages.
I think this helps give people more information about the article and gives
credit to the authors. I was hoping that this could be made to be a part
of posting a magazine article instead of it being added after the fact.
Cheers

I'm not aware if anyone already started to write the Release Announcement
for the F23 final, so I started a draft
[https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User_talk:Mailga | on my Fedora Wiki page]
in parallel with jflory7 is doing on
[https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Jflory7/Scratchpad/F23_Release_Announ...
| his wikipage].
The target here is not merely repeat the Beta Announcement, that is a good
base to work, but produce a user POV as well.
According to what I read in ML list in the last months, since the beta
announce, I'm going to split the two points of view (User and System?).
The goal (in my mind) is achieve a tool which may be used both by
Marketing and Ambassadors.
Of course any suggestion is welcome and everyone is free to edit, say, add
his contribute.
Thanks
Gabri
