by susmit shannigrahi
Hi,
As we were just discussing this, we are getting lots of new ambassadors.
For Fedora India, its couple of them almost every week.
But it is time to think if we getting as much output as well.
So how will it be to have a standard template for monthly

what can I do in Iran?
by Mostafa Daneshvar
Hello;
I newly joined this group. I am From Iran. I think my case is very
special because I'm from an embargoed destination (Iran). Regarding
these restrictions, could you tell me what kind of tasks can I do?
I have some plans for Fedora in Iran. I'm waiting for your helps and
comments.

Finally prepared the offline repo for the Install Fest at Kalyani Govt. College
by Ratnadeep Debnath
Hello,
Finally I have prepared an offline Fedora 10 repo ( though not
complete), which is ready to install all the basic audio, video, image
softwares, audio-video codecs, KDE 4.2 update, KdeEdu, VirtualBox,
Kernel 2.6.27.12-170.2.5.fc10.i686, nvidia drivers, etc. I
successfully installed updates in my system and another system of my
friend offline via an FTP server. I have also prepared a kickstart
file to automate Fedora 10 installation.
Hope this all works fine and smoothly during the day of the Install
Fest in Kalyani Govt. College.

Of course if Fedora is indeed barred from distribution on your area,
you could always work with a Fedora based distribution that isn't
subject to US law. However of course that would mean support would be
more limited. Hopefully we'll be able to resolve this easily.

Francesco said that I feel this way because I am passionate about the
project. This is a good thing, but let me thinking that maybe I am a
bit too much enthusiastic. Trying to encompass unresponsive (or dead)
ambassadors with not kicking people out... what we need is a better
way to direct people to those who do respond. The problem is I can't
imagine a way of doing this without making a system that pings people.
The report template make sense to show where you last drop your
participation. Maybe we need some one with an esthetically
appreciation to design a chronological template to brag about last
stuff that they have done, then invite people to use it. Those who
pick up this will more likely to be contacted as they show recent
activity. Luckily this may became a common practice. I feel the urge
to keep this going as the idea of ambassador template that was for
having the minimal info .... never happened.
I still feel that some housekeeping will be good. But I am trying to
propose a less passionate approach, trying to be half way with other
perspectives. Not sure If I am making sense, or if I am attaining a
middle ground.
Probably I am deflating my two cents by writing too much :)

I think most active Ambassadors agree some criteria needs set to address inactive folks.
Would requiring at least a wiki page update every quarter be enough? This indicator is easier to track than irc attendance.
A housekeeping, second step, would be to archive all the wiki pages that correspond with bounced list addresses.
