Greetings everyone,
I wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for representing your
respective projects at the 7th Southern California Linux Expo. This
year was by far the best show we've hosted yet and the quality of the
free & open source projects that were in attendance definitely
In the coming months, we will begin planning for SCALE 8x and I would
like to extend an invitation to everyone to participate at the show again.
Please forward this email long to any team members and/or booth volunteers.
Thanks!
Gareth

FAmSCo Mission
by inode0
The FAmSCo mission presented at
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/SteeringCommittee is "To
provide the basic governance and support structure necessary to manage
Fedora Ambassadors worldwide."
While it might seem a trifle, I would like to request that FAmSCo
consider striking the word "manage" and substituting the word "assist"
in this text. The use of manage here suggests certain things that from
my experience don't seem to be in sync with either the reality or the
spirit of the relationship between FAmSCo and the ambassador
community.

(08:16:47 PM) inode0: let's do it
(08:17:13 PM) herlo: and I lost it
(08:17:23 PM) herlo: but I'll keep thinking about it and bring it up
when I remember, sorry
(08:17:28 PM) DemonJester: lol

(08:17:40 PM) herlo: yep
(08:17:49 PM) inode0: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedoraEvents
(08:18:01 PM) inode0: Let's look over Q1 events
(08:18:35 PM) inode0: It is my understanding that all events through
FOSE are taken care of already so we need to consider the ones after
FOSE on the list
(08:19:03 PM) herlo: taken care of how, monetarily?
(08:19:09 PM) inode0: For event owners of those who are here how can we help?
(08:19:34 PM) inode0: herlo: funded and/or full of swag or whatever
they asked for
(08:19:45 PM) herlo: oh, nice
(08:19:57 PM) DemonJester: any status on case badges?
(08:20:21 PM) herlo: DemonJester: they're in the budget
(08:20:30 PM) herlo: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/NA/Budget
(08:20:35 PM) inode0: not that I am aware of, buttons were shipped to
regional ambassadors this morning though
(08:21:02 PM) inode0: case badges were in the emergency last minute Q4
discussions, did those fall through?
(08:21:13 PM) DemonJester: apparently so :(
(08:21:22 PM) herlo: inode0: yes, because the sticker company we were
going to go through doesn't really do case badges
(08:21:28 PM) herlo: so we need to find someone who does...
(08:21:31 PM) inode0: ok, no problem
(08:21:47 PM) inode0: so we'll get those in this quarter from somewhere else
(08:21:53 PM) ***DemonJester notes he is fine for his event and
nothing is needed
(08:22:02 PM) inode0: thanks DemonJester
(08:22:36 PM) inode0: we seem to be missing larry, kam, and karlie :(
(08:22:54 PM) herlo: what about ke4qqq
(08:22:58 PM) jsmidt: Yeah, I needed larry here
(08:23:17 PM) herlo:
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk174/KodiakStar/sell026.jpg <--
maybe one type of case badge
(08:23:20 PM) inode0: DemonJester: can you speak to the barcamp with karlie?
(08:23:25 PM) DemonJester: I will help out Karlie with swag
(08:23:33 PM) DemonJester: inode0: yep
(08:24:09 PM) herlo:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MassachusettsTeam/Projects/AluminiumCaseBadges?ac...
<-- ubunut's case badge
(08:24:21 PM) ***herlo is done now...
(08:24:53 PM) inode0: May I suggest we allocate $750 for NFNW as my
best wild guess at this point until we speak with larry?
(08:25:02 PM) inode0: LFNW
(08:25:40 PM) inode0: comments?
(08:26:02 PM) herlo: yeah, that's about right
(08:26:09 PM) DemonJester: agrees
(08:26:09 PM) herlo: you'll have Karsten and Larry there probably
(08:26:30 PM) herlo: inode0: do you want me to make edits tothe budget
now for this stuff?
(08:26:41 PM) inode0: they will get fad money too, we'll talk to larry
and karsten
(08:26:47 PM) herlo: right
(08:26:50 PM) inode0: please go ahead herlo
(08:27:55 PM) inode0: May I also suggest we post to f-a-l something of
a deadline for others to get budget?
(08:28:09 PM) herlo: yes, March 15
(08:28:12 PM) inode0: So we can move on with other needs
(08:28:24 PM) inode0: that was actually the exact date I had in mind :)
(08:29:12 PM) inode0: there is one other conference this month, pycon,
that it would be great to have a presence at
(08:29:28 PM) inode0: perhaps I'll raise that one more time on f-a-l
(08:29:45 PM) ***DemonJester wants to go but cant :(
(08:29:57 PM) ***herlo as well
(08:30:00 PM) inode0: I'm not looking good for it either
(08:30:16 PM) sseiersen: I may go to PyCon
(08:30:31 PM) inode0: which state are you from sseiersen?
(08:30:35 PM) DemonJester: MD
(08:30:39 PM) DemonJester: :)
(08:30:42 PM) sseiersen: Maryland.
(08:30:56 PM) inode0: pycon is far away :)
(08:31:02 PM) sseiersen: aw.
(08:31:09 PM) inode0: Chicago
(08:31:41 PM) laubersm: Chicago isn't that far....
(08:31:45 PM) inode0: let me post something to the list and jump on it
if you are going
(08:31:48 PM) kanarip: that's pretty far indeed inode0 ;-)
(08:32:04 PM) kanarip: (said the Dutchman)
(08:32:18 PM) inode0: well, planes fly all over the place these days
(08:32:21 PM) crossbytes: Iam trying to make plans to go to NFNW but
where is the pycon?

(08:32:45 PM) crossbytes: oh to far..
(08:32:48 PM) ***sseiersen is trying to go to FOSE 2009
(08:33:01 PM) ***herlo is trying to go to LFNW and OSCON
(08:33:08 PM) inode0: kanarip: join us for pecha kucha at the summit :)
(08:33:08 PM) herlo: since we're comparing :)
(08:33:18 PM) kanarip: i will
(08:33:38 PM) kanarip: i've submitted two talks that were good enough
for the Red Hat EMEA Partner Summit, so...
(08:33:40 PM) kanarip: we'll see
(08:34:17 PM) inode0: ok, shall we go to other budget items?
(08:34:33 PM) inode0: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/NA/Budget
(08:34:42 PM) inode0: this is very rough
(08:34:57 PM) ***herlo is editing it, so don't you also edit
(08:34:58 PM) herlo: :)
(08:35:13 PM) inode0: media and SCaLE I think we can consider spent
(08:35:20 PM) herlo: inode0: I don't think we need media
(08:35:37 PM) inode0: oh, that changes the picture
(08:35:38 PM) herlo: unless we need it for future events in Q2 that I
know not of
(08:35:55 PM) ***inode0 looks at early Q2
(08:36:09 PM) herlo: but I did the request to all you Regional
Coordinators and it appears we still have over 2k bits o media
(08:36:18 PM) ***sseiersen may be able to provide LiveCDs
(08:36:23 PM) herlo: and that's not counting you
(08:36:30 PM) inode0: wait, F11 will beat Q2 won't it?
(08:36:32 PM) herlo: sseiersen: how? We have pressed media if you want it...
(08:36:37 PM) herlo: inode0: yep
(08:36:52 PM) inode0: why is inode0 looking at Q2 again?
(08:36:55 PM) ***herlo points sseiersen to
https://fedorahosted.org/famnarequests
(08:36:59 PM) herlo: lol
(08:37:07 PM) herlo: at inode0
(08:37:28 PM) DemonJester: sseiersen: your kit was sent out this
morning with a bunch of media in it.
(08:37:36 PM) sseiersen: Ty
(08:37:46 PM) herlo: sweet! glad you already are getting one :)
(08:38:16 PM) inode0: ok, we do have two event boxes now and it is a
high priority for me to get the new one into service by the end of Q1
(08:38:20 PM) ***herlo would like to raise the budget to $1k for persisten infra
(08:38:40 PM) herlo: +1?
(08:38:45 PM) DemonJester: where is the second box at?
(08:38:47 PM) herlo: I need a couple...
(08:39:00 PM) inode0: DemonJester: sitting on my kitchen floor
(08:39:02 PM) herlo: DemonJester: we should get you one too...
(08:39:26 PM) herlo: inode0: so you need to get an EventBox too :)
(08:39:30 PM) herlo: er DemonJester ^^
(08:39:41 PM) inode0: what?
(08:39:43 PM) herlo: inode0: we need to fill that box with stuffs...
(08:39:43 PM) DemonJester: ok
(08:39:47 PM) inode0: yes
(08:39:50 PM) herlo: inode0: what do you think you need
(08:40:02 PM) inode0: banners, signage, etc.
(08:40:02 PM) DemonJester: banners / posters
(08:40:17 PM) herlo:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/EventBox#Suggested_contents_of...
(08:40:30 PM) ***herlo wishes people wouldn't ask for posters
(08:41:02 PM) DemonJester: signs better? ;-)
(08:41:32 PM) herlo: here's what you're gonna get
http://www.bannerstandstogo.com/index.php?action=item&id=1&prevaction=cat...
(08:41:43 PM) herlo: or something similar, probably a bit more sturdy
(08:42:19 PM) herlo: this is better:
http://www.camelbackdisplays.com/Media-Screen.htm
(08:42:45 PM) herlo: in fact, I just finished the art tonight, cmyk'd
it and everything
(08:42:56 PM) ***DemonJester was just going to get his wife to hold
them up all day :)
(08:43:13 PM) herlo:
http://herlo.fedorapeople.org/art/fedora_four_fs_vertical_banner_sm.png
(08:43:54 PM) DemonJester: cloth or vinyl?
(08:43:58 PM) herlo: http://www.camelbackdisplays.com/Banner-Stands-Banners.htm
(08:44:07 PM) herlo: DemonJester: probably cloth, way more versatile
(08:44:16 PM) herlo: but not sure how they all come, just starting to
dig into it
(08:44:38 PM) inode0: honestly I am ok with bumping the infrastructure
by more if it is needed, these items will last for years and serve us
many times over
(08:44:55 PM) ***sseiersen thinks of a Fedora flag for events.
(08:45:31 PM) ***jsmidt thinks everyone should where fedora flag lapel pins. :)
(08:45:44 PM) herlo: I'd also like to get
http://www.camelbackdisplays.com/Signature-Table-Top-Literature-Racks.htm
(08:45:46 PM) inode0: isn't the polo enough? :)
(08:45:53 PM) ***sseiersen wants one. ;)
(08:46:13 PM) herlo: but for the media (more permanent solution than
the media_box)
(08:47:19 PM) ***inode0 suggests letting herlo run with outfitting
event boxes (he a has proven track record and is already running like
mad anyway)
(08:47:26 PM) herlo: as for stuff we can put on the booth, we'll have
plenty of xo's and media
(08:47:35 PM) herlo: s/booth/booth table/
(08:47:47 PM) herlo: inode0: lol, tx
(08:47:54 PM) herlo: so can I get some +1s ??
(08:48:03 PM) DemonJester: +1
(08:48:12 PM) crossbytes: +1
(08:48:20 PM) inode0: herlo: how many are we going to do? get a third?
(08:48:26 PM) sseiersen: +1
(08:48:30 PM) laubersm: +1
(08:48:30 PM) sseiersen: :)
(08:48:59 PM) herlo: inode0: I'll outfit your box and try to fill most
of DemonJester's box (provided he wants one)
(08:49:03 PM) herlo: thanks gang
(08:49:28 PM) herlo: as well as purchase a new banner stand for the
West Event Box
(08:49:32 PM) ***inode0 thinks add 1200 of the media to infra and see
if that works
(08:49:43 PM) herlo: inode0: so total 1800?
(08:49:46 PM) inode0: yes
(08:49:56 PM) DemonJester: I wouldn't mind getting one
(08:50:32 PM) inode0: you don't have to spend it all but it allows you
freedom to get nice stuff
(08:50:33 PM) herlo: DemonJester: k, I'll see about ordering you one
and having max reimburse me this week.
(08:50:43 PM) DemonJester: roger!
(08:50:48 PM) herlo: inode0: oh, I'll spend it all alright! :)
(08:50:58 PM) inode0: herlo: max just bought mine and had it shipped to me
(08:51:05 PM) herlo: inode0: right, okay
(08:51:24 PM) herlo: I'll be giving him a bill of lading (essentially)
which says, buy this crap and ship it here :)
(08:51:38 PM) herlo: here being where we want it to go...
(08:52:01 PM) laubersm: I assume the budget has money to move these
boxes to/from events so they don't just sit on inode0's kitchen floor?
(08:52:11 PM) inode0: yes
(08:52:18 PM) laubersm: cool.
(08:52:18 PM) herlo: we're at $6550 now
(08:52:45 PM) inode0: DemonJester: can you help with getting the
badges and tattoos ordered?
(08:52:48 PM) herlo: laubersm: the budget has two shipping items, one
for general shipping (eventboxes, ambassadorkits, etc) and one for
OLPC shipments
(08:53:07 PM) inode0: those we should get a stock of as soon as
possible for use in ambassador kits as well as events
(08:53:14 PM) ***herlo points out that we have ~$8000 this quarter
(08:53:22 PM) DemonJester: badges probably, tattoos I will have to
research where to get them
(08:53:30 PM) inode0: DemonJester: not trying to dump those on you,
but you have some contacts, just asking
(08:53:35 PM) herlo: DemonJester: yeah, I'll help ya...so will kanarip
(08:53:37 PM) herlo: er ke4qqq
(08:53:45 PM) kanarip: huh?
(08:53:45 PM) inode0: ke4qqq had a tattoo place picked out
(08:53:46 PM) kanarip: what?
(08:53:47 PM) herlo: stupid tab complete :)
(08:53:50 PM) herlo: kanarip: sorry
(08:54:05 PM) kanarip: herlo, you woke me up in the middle of the night! ;-)
(08:54:06 PM) DemonJester: I will get the info from him.
(08:54:16 PM) inode0: we need to get better badges than the ones kanarip got :)
(08:54:16 PM) herlo: kanarip: if that's so, you should turn your audio off
(08:54:20 PM) herlo: :0D
(08:54:27 PM) DemonJester: inode0: you can task me with that.
(08:54:44 PM) herlo: +1 to DemonJester getting case badges and tattoos fulfilled
(08:55:01 PM) DemonJester: how we looking on shirts?
(08:55:07 PM) inode0: I have lots
(08:55:10 PM) herlo: we need some probably soon
(08:55:13 PM) herlo: for kids
(08:55:29 PM) herlo: youth sizes would be great, not a ton, but maybe 100-200
(08:55:38 PM) herlo: how many t-shirts did we get last time?
(08:55:42 PM) inode0: 300
(08:55:55 PM) ***sseiersen has question about polo distribution
(08:55:58 PM) herlo: also, I'd like to request that we get the
speckled gray shirts, shows less spillage
(08:56:09 PM) laubersm: lol
(08:56:15 PM) ***DemonJester suggest not being a sloppy eater :)
(08:56:30 PM) herlo: DemonJester: you know better than that, have you
met jds2001 ?? :)
(08:56:37 PM) DemonJester: ROFL
(08:56:41 PM) inode0: sseiersen: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/NA
(08:56:51 PM) herlo: he's the messiest eater I've met...over 8
(08:57:27 PM) ***sseiersen wonders how much
(08:57:29 PM) herlo: but we love the guy, he's just awesome!
(08:57:36 PM) herlo: sseiersen: approx $42US
(08:57:44 PM) herlo: incl shipping and all
(08:57:44 PM) inode0: question, do we need to go 300 again? I can't
recall how big that discount was?
(08:57:46 PM) DemonJester: We can go with something other than white if we want.
(08:58:06 PM) DemonJester: I think the discount was at 175 or so
(08:58:10 PM) herlo: DemonJester: I've gotten requests for black, but
we'll need to get approval to do a white splash behind the logo...
(08:58:17 PM) ***sseiersen suggests black shirts
(08:58:28 PM) herlo: :)
(08:58:30 PM) sseiersen: Less spots
(08:58:30 PM) herlo: see
(08:58:32 PM) DemonJester: I would like black as well
(08:58:41 PM) ***laubersm has too many black t-shirts and doesn't look
good in them anyways
(08:58:47 PM) herlo: sseiersen: unless you have dandruff or go into a
room with black lights :)
(08:59:00 PM) sseiersen: :)
(08:59:04 PM) ***laubersm wants blue
(08:59:05 PM) herlo: or both
(08:59:06 PM) DemonJester: herlo: you watch to many AXE commercials
(08:59:12 PM) herlo: DemonJester: lol
(08:59:20 PM) ***herlo doesn't watch TV with commercials
(08:59:33 PM) sseiersen: ^lies.
(08:59:41 PM) inode0: ok, let's try to refocus :)
(08:59:55 PM) herlo: are we good on the moneys for tshirts, tattoos
and badges then?
(09:00:01 PM) inode0: we need a number for the shirts
(09:00:02 PM) herlo: sseiersen: no, it's true
(09:00:09 PM) herlo: inode0: $500
(09:00:18 PM) herlo: whatever that'll buy
(09:00:28 PM) inode0: not a good number if there are a large discount
at 288 as I seem to recall
(09:00:38 PM) DemonJester: blue or black? and sizes?
(09:00:48 PM) inode0: but we can always do whatever that will buy
(09:00:53 PM) herlo: similar range of sizes, do some youth too
(09:01:01 PM) herlo: we need to get approval for black or blue first
(09:01:15 PM) herlo: so I say gray this time and we pursue getting
approval for black/blue shirts
(09:01:26 PM) herlo: s/gray/speckled gray/
(09:01:30 PM) laubersm: grey sounds best for this time
(09:01:31 PM) inode0: let's confirm the discount point too since if it
is large we need more like 1K
(09:01:52 PM) herlo: we have room in the budget, but we do need to
leave some for events...
(09:01:53 PM) DemonJester: I will see what they have color wise and
get the qty price points
(09:01:56 PM) herlo: ad-hoc events
(09:02:11 PM) herlo: +1 DemonJester
(09:02:23 PM) inode0: well, we saw what happened last time we left
some in the budget :)
(09:02:48 PM) herlo: yeah, but we shouldn't leave much, like $500 or
something is all
(09:03:15 PM) inode0: where are we now since I can't seem to refresh
(09:03:22 PM) herlo: same
(09:03:31 PM) ***inode0 doesn't know what same is
(09:03:34 PM) herlo: nothing's changed, unless you want me to up t-shirts to $1k
(09:03:47 PM) ***herlo suggests inode0 use his pgup button :)
(09:04:04 PM) herlo: 19:52 < herlo> we're at $6550 now
(09:04:47 PM) inode0: carry on for a couple minutes while I'm afk
(09:05:19 PM) laubersm: so what were we assigning inode0 while he is afk?
(09:05:24 PM) ***sseiersen is confused
(09:05:44 PM) DemonJester: what about?
(09:05:58 PM) sseiersen: whats the page to the budget
(09:06:02 PM) sseiersen: ?
(09:06:25 PM) DemonJester: the url?
(09:06:37 PM) sseiersen: yes.
(09:06:39 PM) DemonJester: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/NA/Budget
(09:06:58 PM) ***DemonJester will be right back
(09:07:11 PM) herlo: laubersm: I'm assigning him all my tasks :)
(09:07:16 PM) laubersm: sseiersen, channel topic has link to agenda.
agenda has links to everything else.
(09:07:24 PM) herlo: :)
(09:08:16 PM) DemonJester: herlo: add mine too! :)
(09:08:42 PM) ***laubersm wonders how long this meeting is scheduled
to go on (and on and on)
(09:08:53 PM) ***laubersm yawns
(09:08:56 PM) sseiersen: 4 hours
(09:08:59 PM) sseiersen: :)
(09:09:05 PM) herlo: DemonJester: you do it :)
(09:09:09 PM) DemonJester: lol
(09:09:13 PM) herlo: laubersm: I think we're done pretty much
(09:09:27 PM) ***herlo wishes inode0 would do my tasks already
(09:10:16 PM) inode0: ok, I have one more budget thing to throw into
the pot for consideration
(09:10:24 PM) herlo: and he's back!
(09:11:06 PM) inode0: there is a large FAD scheduled for Boston for
F12 ... I wonder if we should consider helping some ambassadors attend
it
(09:11:54 PM) herlo: when is it?
(09:12:04 PM) DemonJester: June?
(09:12:18 PM) sseiersen: date?
(09:12:22 PM) laubersm: I would like to go. It will depend on work.
(09:12:35 PM) sseiersen: I'd be interested.
(09:12:36 PM) inode0: June but we could prepay some travel I think if
we wanted to do that
(09:12:37 PM) laubersm: But I should have a place to stay
(09:12:39 PM) ***herlo will probably sit this one out and go to FUDCon
next year...
(09:12:44 PM) sseiersen: Depends on graduation.
(09:13:12 PM) inode0: let's just think about whether it is a good use
of our funds, lots of ambassadors would want to go I'm sure
(09:13:25 PM) sseiersen: hmm
(09:13:42 PM) sseiersen: 10% sponsor of travel funds?
(09:14:19 PM) inode0: I don't really want to think about details -
more should we set aside X dollars to help
(09:14:50 PM) herlo: +1 depending on X
(09:14:58 PM) DemonJester: agrees
(09:15:00 PM) herlo: but something like $1k could help...
(09:15:04 PM) inode0: I think it is very valuable to attend personally
and even if we only helped two or three people go I think it is a good
use of funds
(09:15:05 PM) sseiersen: +1
(09:15:51 PM) inode0: since it is a Q2 event perhaps we could swing
some travel in Q1 and maybe some accommodations from Q2
(09:16:04 PM) herlo: yeah maybe
(09:16:14 PM) DemonJester: what are we being allocated Q2?
(09:16:28 PM) inode0: we won't know until Q2 but likely about the same
(09:17:13 PM) inode0: or more generally let me suggest this
(09:17:48 PM) inode0: we consider setting aside ambassador travel
money as a line item rather than confound it with events?!
(09:18:55 PM) inode0: then if a need arose to get someone to, say,
pycon (although I'm not thinking of that as more than an example) we
could do it
(09:19:14 PM) herlo: hmm, let's stew on that until next meeting ey?
(09:19:23 PM) DemonJester: +1
(09:19:24 PM) inode0: yes, think about it some
(09:19:43 PM) inode0: let's stew on the rest of the budget until next meeting
(09:19:50 PM) herlo: k, it's updated bw
(09:19:52 PM) herlo: btw
(09:20:07 PM) inode0: we need to hit a few people up about events, and
get numbers for swag
(09:20:19 PM) herlo: yup
(09:20:52 PM) DemonJester: I will touch base with Karlie about her events
(09:21:01 PM) inode0: Shall we move then to Open Floor and get this
wrapped before laubersm gets too cranky :)
(09:21:19 PM) laubersm: not cranky :) just zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
(09:21:43 PM) laubersm: Its is dark out - must be bed time
(09:21:51 PM) inode0: herlo: did you remember your monumental announcement?
(09:22:01 PM) jsmidt: Well, I needed Larry here, but I was thinking of
proposing LUCI be a FAD
(09:22:10 PM) jsmidt: But I will discuss this later
(09:22:22 PM) jsmidt: Since Larry isn't around
(09:22:38 PM) inode0: jsmidt: that is great, for the record FADs
aren't funded by us though, Max takes care of those directly
(09:22:50 PM) jsmidt: Okay thanks
(09:23:21 PM) inode0: important to let him know though if you decide
to go that route
(09:23:27 PM) herlo: inode0: it wasn't monumental
(09:24:49 PM) inode0: yeah, I was just playfully rubbing it in a
little - old folks like to see youngsters forget things too ... makes
us feel better about our infirmities
(09:25:12 PM) herlo: lol
(09:25:17 PM) ***herlo isn't *that* young
(09:25:31 PM) herlo: but I guess since you are as lod as dirt :)
(09:25:36 PM) inode0: any other open floor items?
(09:25:53 PM) DemonJester: none here
(09:26:05 PM) ***herlo is done
(09:26:06 PM) sseiersen: oh
(09:26:12 PM) sseiersen: idk
(09:26:24 PM) inode0: ok, let's try to be prepared to nail the budget
down pretty solid next meeting
(09:26:30 PM) sseiersen: live usb kits?
(09:26:32 PM) crossbytes: want to attend IRC class not sure of time on
west coast

(09:26:51 PM) herlo: click the link on the left of the table
(09:26:57 PM) herlo: and find your city
(09:27:13 PM) jsmidt: 11:30 in LA
(09:27:15 PM) herlo: sseiersen: that's a constant request, and we'd
like to do something about that
(09:27:18 PM) jsmidt: am
(09:27:39 PM) herlo: sseiersen: thing is, cost prohibitive unless we
do *massive* amounts. But it is possible
(09:27:46 PM) crossbytes: ok thnk u
(09:27:50 PM) herlo: :) nw
(09:27:50 PM) inode0: sseiersen: you mean branded usb sticks for
ambassador kits or something else?
(09:27:56 PM) sseiersen: yes
(09:27:59 PM) herlo: btw, Classroom is really filling up, only one slot left...
(09:28:13 PM) sseiersen: oh noes
(09:28:21 PM) inode0: for small events here is what you should do
(09:28:48 PM) inode0: if you are advertising be sure to offer to make
live usbs for anyone bringing their own
(09:29:34 PM) sseiersen: where do i sign up for the IRc class?
(09:29:48 PM) inode0: and for everyone wanted branded ones you should
keep an eye on opportunities for producing them
(09:29:50 PM) laubersm: sseiersen, you just show up if you are attending
(09:29:55 PM) herlo: sseiersen: just visit #fedora-classroom
(09:30:01 PM) herlo: sseiersen: read the link
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Communicate/IRC/Classroom
(09:30:08 PM) herlo: it tells you what you need to know :)
(09:30:09 PM) inode0: don't worry about seats filling up :)
(09:30:14 PM) laubersm: sseiersen, herlo was referring to time slots
available for teaching
(09:30:20 PM) herlo: oh, right, sorry about that
(09:30:25 PM) laubersm: sseiersen, Did you want to teach something?
(09:30:28 PM) sseiersen: :)
(09:30:35 PM) sseiersen: no
(09:30:44 PM) sseiersen: im not that good at IRC
(09:31:02 PM) ***herlo heads out to brewvies, alcoholic movie theatre,
in Utah even :)

[RFC] Newslater template for Fedoranews.
by susmit shannigrahi
Hi,
I was just thinking about it.
Currently, It is sent as a plaintext mail.
A nice template and sending it as a newslater can make it more
professional looking.
I think we can work on it...
What do you think?

Susmit.
