How to build a "contacts" rpm

Hi All,
I just asked the Fedora maintainer of "contacts" to
include an an RPM in EPEL and got turned down.

I anyone loves this sweet simple utility and needs an
RPM, here is how you roll your own (works in both
Fedora and the various flavors of Enterprise Linux 6):
1) download Fedora Core 15's SRPM from pbone
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3?stat=26&dist=73&size=367262&name=contacts...
2) rebuild for your current version
rpmbuild --rebuild contacts-0.12-5.fc15.src.rpm
At the end of the build, you will find where rpmbuild
created your new RPMs. Save them all: "contacts"
is "end of life"

Root password for mounting things in Thunar

Hi, after the recent updates in F20, when I connect a external mass
storage device and click on it in Thunar, I'm prompted for root password.
Do you observe similar behavior? Should it be reported against
thunar-volman?

Brightness control?

I put a launcher (whose "about" link calls it "xfce4-brightness-
plugin 1.2.0," and points to http://goodies.xfce.org) onto a Fedora.xfce
panel.
The image looks like the helm pf a ship, with a large red circle
in the middle, containing a white exclamation point. Sure enough,
hovering the mouse cursor over it gets a message saying "No device
found", and left-clicking it does nothing. Right-clicking gets a grey box
with the top line (saying "Brightness plugin") grayed out.
Is there in fact a brightness control in Fedora xfce? How do you
invoke it?

Epiphany dying on launch

Running Fedora 18 with xfce4, clicking on "web" often starts
a launch which then dies, without ever getting to a site.
The link for "web" leads to the Epiphany site; I have no clue why
Fedora doesn't call it by its name.
What could be causing these failures?? And what can I do about it?
