this could be a worry
(for me at least)

Also the other cc'd person is no longer with the project?
behdad is gone to Google, cannot find the exact list though.

I think you should bring this up on Fedora devel list and CC Behdad. VTE
is a very central component and we need to make sure that is properly
maintained.
