Well,
install NetworkManager-gnome (should install gnome-keyring), try to
connect to the password protected WiFi. If the password is saved and
not needed second time when connecting, it is probably OK.

I have never used it, I meant, gnome-keyring.
How can I find out if it is unlocked or not?
