So, might as well keep using this thread for status. ;)
I spent this morning testing and rebuilding/fixing things up, and
here's where we are:
1. libxfcegui4 doesn't build against 4.12. This is due to some
symbols/functions that were dropped in 2012 in libxfce4util. We could
possibly dredge them up and add them in a local patch, but at this
point I think we should just let it go.
If we retire libxfcegui4, this then removes the following other
packages that depend on it still:
xfce4-timer-plugin
xfce4-modemlights-plugin
xfce4-cellmodem-plugin
xfce4-radio-plugin
xfce4-quicklauncher-plugin
xfce4-smartbookmark-plugin
xfce4-wmdock-plugin
xfce4-notes-plugin
xfbib
Well I am currently using the notes plugin and I am wondering if it would
be too hard to migrate it. Of course you'll always find someone using one
plugin or the other. ;-)

Does anyone want to somehow save them? If not, we should retire them
asap. (In both 22 and rawhide if we are pushing 4.12 to 22)
2. The libinput support seems to mostly work ok, but I cannot select
'edge scrolling' or circular scrolling. It's greyed out.
Filed
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11621 on it.
3. ristretto-0.8.0 appdata fails validation:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11622
I guess we could cheat and update it with the invalid appdata until
it's fixed.
Otherwise everything seems to work pretty well. ;)
I don't see any great showstoppers...
