A couple weeks ago I upgraded from Fedora 28 to Fedora 32 (with KDE in both). Unfortunately, KRunner now comes up with the clipboard contents in the text box, whereas before upgrading, it always came up with an empty box.
How can I get KRunner to come up with an empty text box (rather than with the clipboard contents)?
Hi, What keyboard shortcut are you using to open KRunner? Could you check in System Settings to see if it is the shortcut to just open KRunner or the one to "run command on clipboard contents"? I suspect it is the second one.

Phu,
You're right! I hadn't realized that there were two separate keyboard shortcuts for KRunner. My bad; I should have thought of it. But anyway, your suggestion was indeed the issue. I've now doctored up these shortcuts, and so KRunner is now working as it was before.
Many thanks!
Best,

Really? What else is one supposed to memorize these days?
A shortcut itself, the number of shortcuts of any particular function and then all of those shortcuts themselves, of course.
This is clearly getting out of hand.
But fret you not! khotkeys builds handily and is quite malleable. What it does need is a decent rewording of the "help" texts, so actually make sense to people.
also, context for the term Hyperkitty used below: its some websitething to read mailing lists afaik.
greetz!
