Arg, I went through all the trouble of putting the upstream commit fixing this into git, but then forgot to actually *apply* the patch.
Fixing now, kdelibw-4.14.15-2 should be better, sorry.

well, with the latest build we are exactly in the same situation as before Sat Dec 05 2015 "revert upstream commit causing kopete crashes for now (kde#355275)"
only difference is *sometimes* you can close a message window when you don#t have written anything, but most of the time kopete goes away _______________________________________

looks way better - thanks
slowly i get happy with KDE5, especially compared to the first upgrade last summer with F22 where i remeber still the drunkness at evening trying to wash the expiereince with my new desktop away :-)
currently there is the issue with menu-editor and that damned clipboard-applet overwriting the clipboard with the current selection - unchcking "ignore selection" seemd to fix it, but currently it don't, maybe that works only until logout, wtahever - that makes me really carzy
clipboard is a speicla topic it seems - the behavior that you need to choose twice "cut" from the context menu because otherwise you are asked dfor a filename where finally the paths of the files you liked to move are stored in a textfile is not - let's say too smart
