The problem as I see it is that there is no way we can exclude
kde-pim
from updates, if we felt that TP is to raw for us, without stopping
getting updates on kde-pim 4.4 - or am I missing something?
--exclude="kdepim kdepim-libs kdepim-runtime kdepim-runtime-libs"
on the yum command line as a one-time workaround, or better:
exclude=kdepim kdepim-libs kdepim-runtime kdepim-runtime-libs
in the .conf file for kde-unstable.
(Please note that kdepim-libs is not the same as kdepimlibs.)
AIUI, the developers have said that they could be installed in
parallel.
No. Not in the same prefix. Files conflict all over the place. At least not
all of kdepim; KMail MIGHT be parallel-installable (I haven't checked), but
we don't have separate packaging of KMail, and kdepim-runtime might also be
a source of conflicts there.
