Problem with acute accent in filenames with qt 4.5

I've upgraded to qt-4.5.0-0.4.rc1.fc10.i386 from kde-redhat unstable.
Now I have problems with files and directories with acute accent (á,
é, í, ó, ú) in their names.

For example, gwenview can't open a PNG from a "tést" directory (from
command line or dolphin):

[christian@localhost ~]$ mkdir tést
[christian@localhost ~]$ cp /usr/share/wallpapers/solar_wide.png tést/
[christian@localhost ~]$ cd tést/
[christian@localhost tést]$ gwenview solar_wide.png

"org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown - The name
org.kde.nepomuk.services.nepomukstorage was not provided by any
.service files"

Curiously, gwenview can open the PNG when browsing with Thunar or Nautilus.

Downgrading to qt 4.4.3 solves the issue. But after downgrade,
khotkeys and other services failed due to a "Can't find KDED" error.
So I'm forced to use qt 4.5.

Additional info:

* Fedora 10 updated
* kde-redhat stable, testing and unstable repos enabled
* kdelibs-4.2.0-15.fc10.i386
* kde-l10n-Spanish
* LANG="es_CL.UTF-8"
* nepomuk disabled

This is known, Qt 4.5 RC has some problems with character encodings for file
names.

I've updated to qt-4.5.0-2.fc10.i386 (from kde-redhat unstable) but
the bug is still present.

This is a serious bug for non-english users. Do you have any
additional information? Should I file a bug on Qt tracker?

Filing the issue with QtSoftare is a good idea regardless.

OK, now I'm desesperated. I've downgraded to qt-4.4.3-15.fc10.i386 and
the problems with character encodings for filenames is gone... but
khotkeys daemon can't start:

   Failed to contact the KDE global shortcuts daemon
   Message: Could not get owner of name 'org.kde.kded': no such name
   Error: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NameHasNoOwner

So, no Ctrl-F12 for dashboard, no Alt-F4 for closing windows, no
Ctrl-F1 for kicker, no Ctrl-F12 for yakuake, etc. Sadly, now KDE4 is
unusable for me and I'm forced to use XFCE (nice desktop BTW, but far
from the pleasure of using KDE4).

Is there any chance of fixing one of this problems (or both :-)? How can I help?

PD. About the first problem, I'm not sure about filing a bug against
Qt yet without additional info.

You can't use a KDE built against Qt 4.5 with Qt 4.4, you have to downgrade
all your KDE packages to versions built against Qt 4.4.

How about vice versa? What is the easiest way to test KDE 4.2.1 on Qt
4.5 on F-10 ?

To be clear, the (kde-4.2.1) pkgs in fedora and kde-redhat/testing are 
built against qt-4.4.x

KDE 4.2.1 built against Qt 4.4 will work with 4.5. That said, at least one
Plasma rendering fix is only enabled if Qt 4.5 is found at compile time.

OK, I've uninstalled all KDE an Qt related packages (yum remove kde*
qt*) and reinstalled using only kde-testing. Now I'm in KDE 4.2.1
(with qt-4.4.3) and all seems to be OK, including khotkeys and special
chars filenames. Thanks for the tips :-).

Still, I think the special chars bug is a important regresion in Qt
4.5. I've tried to fill an isue in Qt tracker but my limited english
doesn't allow me to complete the proccess. Could you please (Rex,
Kevin or another) do something about that? I'm sure me and others
non-english user will thank you.
