I have set to sleep when lid closed. This used to work. Since recent updates (kdebase-4.2.3-1.fc10.x86_64), when the screen is locked, shuting the lid does nothing. I need to unlock the screen first, then it works.

Odd, is this reproducible on a freshly booted system? Are you using desktop effects?
(I saw similar symptoms in early F11 testing, and it turned out to be an X driver issue... causing plasma to quasi hang... lose keypresses, dbus events.... etc...)

This is updated F10, so this may be the usual "2 power managers running" issue...
Do you have guidance-power-manager installed? Is the PowerDevil service enabled in System Settings (under "Service Management")? If both are true, congratulations, you're running one power manager too many. (If neither is true, then you aren't running any power manager, which could also explain your problem.)
