4.5sc released, now what?

Our current blocker list,

In the meantime, testable packages will continue to roll into kde-
redhat/unstable repos (though we may end up using kde-redhat/testing repos 
soonish too).

What does

rpm -q --whatrequires qt-assistant-adp


say? Just wondering what you have installed that requires it. You may be 
able to remove it to upgrade before qt-assistant-adp is fixed.

seems like a package that is installed by the update requires this
maybe:

I switched to fedora couple of weeks ago. So I'm not that familiar with the

I think I recall one other person having this problem.  You don't happen to 
have any exclude= items in kde.repo, do you?

Ah, could be a multilib issue.  you have both qt.i686 and qt.x86_64 
installed?  (hint: kde-redhat repos aren't multilib... for various reasons).

Yes, Skype requires a 32-bit Qt. After all the years, they're STILL not 
providing 64-bit binaries. Proprietary software sucks! :-(

(BTW, I strongly recommend against using Skype: not only do you use 
proprietary software yourself by using it, you also force other people to 
use proprietary software, since there is no Free interoperable client. You 
should get your friends to use open standards such as SIP instead, there are 
plenty of clients for the SIP protocol.)

In the meantime, I'll build qt-assistant-adp-4.6.3 which doesn't include 
these Conflicts: tags anymore

I installed 4.5sc successfully on both my computers on Saturday (Aug. 7), when 
it first appeared in the repos. Thanks for the great work and sneak peek ;-)

Since you mention the testable packages in the repos, I was wondering what 
cagibi is. Do I need a daemon for UPnP? Not really sure what that is. Is it 
hardware specific or is it part of KDE?

I'm tempted.  I'm less than thrilled with the speed of the last KDE
update.  I'm really looking forward to KDE-4.5.

My own best guess would be about when 4.5.1 lands, but we'll likely consider 
moving these 4.5.x builds into kde-testing repos in the meantime, for 
broader exposure and testing.

The term 'realted bugs' doesn't show up on the page.

Use 'show dependency tree' on the bug linked above to get a detailed
list of bugs:

KDE 4.5 can be pushed to stable when that list is empty.
