Are you talking about the "Clipboard" plasma applet or really klipper?
This is similar to the plasma-pa/kmix situation, where there is a new plasma applet to do the major functions of the prior systray application.
If it is indeed "Clipboard applet", you could consider disabling it, and using the classic klipper instead, particularly if it works better for your use-cases.

am i the only only where clipper indepedent of the options you use
replaces the clipboard with the current selection which is braindead
when you select the text you want to replace with CTRL+V
BTW:
currently in konqueror in need to use "copy" for files twice because
after the first attempt it asks for a name and tries to paste the
clipboard instead the files from the other tab/instance

Konqueror Caused Screen To Freeze

I admit (blush) that I almost never use Konqueror for
surfing (but it is my goto app for man and info).
Today, I opened a web page in Konqueror and I selected
a link in that page with the right mouse button and
instructed the browser to open the link in another
tab. The link was to my google plus page (I was not
logged in to google). The tab opened in the background
and the browser and the entire desktop froze and I had
no option but to press the reset button on the
computer.
After restarting the computer, I tried doing exactly
the same thing in Firefox and the google plus page
appeared in the background tab and I was able to
switch to it, all without suffering any system lockup.
It has only happened once, but I have only tried this
once and am not about to try it again.
Should I report it? As what? Where?

F23 KMail insist on opening links in any browser but the default set in SystemSettings

Hi,
KMail/Kontact keeps opening links in Konqueror instead of the default browser
Google Chrome. I removed Konqueror from my system but now KMail opens links in
Firefox but not again in the default browser.
It does that annoying circling thing in system tray, creates an opening link
notification and then opens link, whole process taking 10-20 seconds, in an
alternate browser.

About new package naming

KDE-partitionmanager has now been splitted in two separate packages, one
for the GUI and one containing libraries
(https://stikonas.eu/wordpress/tag/kpmcore/)
I'm now starting to package the new KPMcore and I'm wondering if I
should fill a review request as kf5-kpmcore or just kpmcore...

kde repo problems

Hi,
Is the owner of this repo on this list? I've been using this repo for several weeks for my Fedora 22 and 23 systems. There appears to be a problem with the Fedora 22 repo.
Can I ask the owner of the repo to fix this problem please?

Fedora 22 updates for KDE Plasma 5.4.3 and KDE Frameworks 5.16.0

Hi list,
The Fedora 22 update to Plasma 5.4.3 this past weekend was rather painful.
After fully applying the F22 updates from 'stable' on Nov. 13/14, with KDE
updates including
plasma-workspace 5.4.3-1.fc22.x86_64, kwin* 5.4.3-1.fc22
(some of these arrived on Nov. 13, some others on Nov. 14), I had an
unusable desktop
- Wallpaper, widgets and KDE panel missing
- A few windows appear but are not responsive
- kdeactivitymanagerd crashes almost at every login
with tons of crashes (highly repeatable) in
kf5-kded
kf5-kactivities
plasma-workspace
First I wanted to revert the Plasma updates, but 'dnf downgrade' did not
allow me to revert to the previous version, only to a much older version --
Any idea why downgrade does not work? - Has the previous Plasma version
disappeared? Can this be fixed?
Then I found some discrepancies between Plasma package versions that are in
"stable" for F23 but still in "updates-testing" for F22, namely:
kf5-kded, kf5* (stable: 5.15.0-1.fc22.x86_64; updates-testing:
5.16.0-1.fc22.x86_64)
kf5-kactivities (stable: 5.15.0-1.fc22.x86_64; updates-testing:
5.16.0-1.fc22.x86_64)
plasma-workspace* (stable: 5.4.3-1.fc22.x86_64 ; updates-testing:
5.4.3-2.fc22)

the solution was obvious:
# dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing update plasma-workspace
# dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing update kf5*
Apparently, muon is needed for fixing some things in apper (see above
announcement), but muon was missing entirely on my system (which was
upgraded earlier from Fedora 20 -> 22).
# dnf install muon
At this point, Plasma 5.4.3 (including my external monitor) worked
reasonably well with a new user account, but not with my existing user
account. So, I decided to clean up my existing user account as follows:
Logout from KDE, open a VT and backup config as follows:
$ cd
$ mkdir kde-old-config
$ mv .config ~/kde-old-config
$ mv .local ~/kde-old-config
$ mv .kde ~/kde-old-config
At this point, Plasma 5.4.3 is stable for my existing user account (at
least as stable as 5.3.2 ...).
My main question is whether the "KDE update experience" for users of Fedora
22 "stable" can be improved in the future. Are there any dependencies
missing between Plasma 5 and KDE Frameworks 5 releases?
