Arabic Translation - 100% Translated
by Sherif Abdelgawad
I would like to announce that we reached 100% Arabic Translated
modules.
We still will go through a tough time unifying and tuning the
translation. Yet, the state on it right now is good enough. I would like
to thank the fedora team, and the arabic fedora arabic translation team.
Thanks

Re: Translations are incomplete
by Nikolay Sarmadzhiev
I believe (from my current expirience) you should file the bug against the
package.
You can see some bugs I filed and been resovled by adding Bulgarian
translation to the build.
just go to bugzilla.redhat.com and then query put as a string Bulgarian -
you will see several I entered and may has been closed - add to the build.
Initialy only 1/4 of all translated packages made it in the test2 - but know
almost 75% are fixed - 6 left, one I guess will not make it.
By the way not all string has been i18n in all packages - so it is quite
easy to file bug about those strings as well.
To file bug you must be registry.

More string breakage
by Jeremy Katz
And for more string breakage (and I apologize again), we forgot to ever
update comps-po. I've now done this and will update what gets used for
actual trees for test3 on Monday morning. Final release will be updated
(last) on October 9th.
This looks like it's generally doing 4 fuzzies and 2 new strings per
fully translated po file.

s/OpenOffice/OpenOffice.org
by Munzir Taha
The updated translation of anaconda has this entry
\tOffice suite (OpenOffice)\n
For some reason (space?) someone has changed it from OpenOffice.org to
OpenOffice. AFAIK the product name is OO.o and shouldn't be changed, no?
I am also not sure whether the other office programs (koffice,...) should
install themselves in this category. If so, then definitely we need not
mention OO.o here.

Translations are incomplete
by Томислав Марковски
Hello,
I have downloaded and installed FC3T2, but some translations which were
commited almost a month ago are not included.
I commited the Macedonian translations myself long before the first freeze
date. Why aren't they included in this test release? Will they make it in
the final release?
Kind Regards,
Tomislav Markovski

REMINDER: FC3 translation freeze date -> 29/9/2004
by Sarah Wang
Hello all,
This is a reminder for the all important translation freeze date for
FC3: 29th September 9am EST.
Before you commit your files to cvs, please ensure there are no msgfmt
errors. The format errors will cause package maintainers to roll back
the translation files, so all your hard work will be undone.
In the future we will try to incorporate this into pre-commit check, but
for now please use the following command:
msgfmt -cv -o /dev/null <filename>
Fix any errors before you commit the file to cvs.
Regards,
Sarah
