This is more a of suggestion. In some gnome-main-menu entries you have some
terms, which are not translated because there is no proper portuguese
translation for them and it's common to use the english word instead, you have
'Firewall' and 'Senha de Root' (root password). I think the '' signs don«t look
very good in a menu like this, although I agree they can be used in general
text.
So my suggestion is to remove the '' signs from these menu entries.
Thanks!
Reproducible: Always

Czech translation of Fedora 11 Release Notes
by josefhruska@upcmail.cz
Hi,
I am sorry to disturb all from the discussion on Fedora 12 Release
Notes schedule but the Czech translation of F11 Release Notes is now on
90% and I have two three questions.
Would it be possible to publish the Release Notes as a web page(s) on
Fedora Project? At lease for "pre-view" purposes, to work on
finalisation of the translation before official publication?
How can I help or what I should do to happen this (publication on the FP
web site)?

Well, I think Eric and I can cover Docs, and our main point of contact is
L10N. I don't have a good grasp on how that team works, but perhaps
Dimitris and Noriko are the experts there. I just don't know.

Installation Quick Start Guide
by Ruediger Landmann
Another new project!
As many of you know, the Fedora Installation Guide is a very big book
(about 260 pages in its PDF version). Although this is good for users
who need to know about little-used options or who are trying to install
Fedora under unusual circumstances, it can be intimidating for most
people who just want to download an image file, burn it to CD, and
install it on an ordinary desktop or laptop computer.
The Installation Quick Start Guide is a response to criticism both from
inside and outside the Fedora community and is only a tenth the length
of the full Installation Guide. You can read the English version here:
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/installation-quick-start-guide/f11/en-US/ht...
The document is built as much as possible from strings taken from the
Installation Guide (and a couple from Readme-Live-Images), to avoid
asking translators to work on basically the same material twice. This
approach has another advantage: translations from this book can be
carried across into the Installation Guide, providing a head start for
teams that have not yet attacked that project.
Your help in translating this book is very much appreciated. You can
find the project in Transifex here:
https://translate.fedoraproject.org/projects/docs-install-quick-start-gui...
Many thanks
Ruediger

Self-Introduction: Mahmoud Jalajel
by Mahmoud Jalajel
Hello everyone,
My name is Mahmoud M. Jalajel, I live in Amman, Jordan. I'm very new
to Fedora (hours-old actually), I have used Ubuntu for a while but I
was working on a graduation project so I switched to Fedora, I am very
passionate about FOSS and want to contribute whatever I can in it. As
a start, I'm applying to translate English-to-Arabic, and I'm trying
to get to know Fedora more to be able to write OS packages to it since
i have fair programming skills but it's been a while since i practised
them. I spent a lot of my time in collage doing voluntary works and
working on my soft skills, interpersonal skills, management, and
leadership. I was also writing in a national youth magazine in
technology section both in Arabic and English.
I am really excited to joining this team !!!
