Self-Introduction
by Takuro Nagamoto
Hi everyone,
My name is Takuro Nagamoto. I am a Japanese translator at Red Hat, based in Brisbane, Australia.
I just wanted to let you know that I took over a coordinator role for Fedora Japanese translation from Noriko, who left Red Hat in January (greatly missed).
Hope to contribute to the Fedora Japanese translation team as a coordinator/translator/reviewer (I already have those privileges granted on zanata).
Regards,
Takuro Nagamoto

German translation Flatpak docs. Need help.
by Markus Richter
Hello,
I need some help with Fedora documentation. I have uploaded on GitHub
the german .po-files for the Flatpak documentation sitting here:
http://flatpak.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html
German translation:
https://github.com/SemanticDesign/flatpak-docs/tree/master/po/de/LC_MES
SAGES
First of all: Is there interest in this one? If yes:
What is it that I have to do now in this special case? There is need
for a review of course. I could imagine some revisions eventually, but
it is something you can work with ... ^^
Somebody who is willing to do a review on this? Or maybe give me an
helping hand to find the needed information to optimize the
translation? And do all this here the Fedora-way? I have read the l10n-
guide, but i am lost now a little bit.
I apologize for the missing introduction of my person, but I have lost
my poetry album for today. I will write some words in the following
days ....

German translator - Introduction
by Markus Richter
Name: Markus Richter
Location: Germany
Login: semanticdesign
Language: german
Profession or student status: Freelancer (technical writing)
About You:
I would like to offer some help with translation into german. I am
interested in desktop-related topics and workflows. This includes GNOME
and Applications, also tools for authoring and projectmanagement.
Flatpak is another topic. I could imagine that other related parts
could be of interest for me (e.g. OSTree). I try to follow the road to
atomic ws on a intellectual medium level. I am aware of EndlessOS.
There is at an LPIC-1 and some knowledge about technical writing. So
maybe I can help a little bit.
You and the Fedora Project:
After my switch from Windows there was a lot of distro-hopping the last
5 years, but fedora is the most interesting distribution. I always came
back. I can see here what comes next. And there is a concrete roadmap
that ends with a paradigm shift. So I will stay with this one. I am
aware of the ideological discussions concerning the way of Fedora
Desktop and Linux in general, but I am not so much interested in this.
I am only interested in some technical aspects (better said the general
concepts) and I like the idea of the workstation as a whole.
I am not able to tell a weekly time-frame. If there is need for myself,
it could be possible that I start to translate something. If not ...
maybe. This would be the way to go. But I could have a look on revision
updates, when I have contributed translated content.

Fedmsg and Zanata
by Matthew Miller
Hi everyone. I see that Zanata issues messages on the bus when
documents reach milestones. I'm trying to get a better picture of
Fedora's usage, and some things like package changes and bodhi feedback
are very easy to measure because each action emits a fedmsg with an
associated username. What would it take to get similar data for
translation work?

I would like to leave temporarily
by Zoltan Hoppar
Hi
I would like to leave temporaily the community - because of family and
money issues are appeared - and I would like to transfer all my fedora
activity rights. Lets hope that clouds are going away fast, and I can
return and can continue. If any issue appears in l10n mail to Balazs Meskó (
meskobalazs(a)gmail.com), and any HU ambassador issue to Gergely Rakosi (
rgeri77(a)fedoraproject.org) I know that he is not a mentor, but I try to
solve my personal things, and rearrange. Please redirect all things to
them, and let's hope the best progress - approx for 3 months...
Thank you for understanding.

Where to submit issues with the help cubes?
by Göran Uddeborg
Where should I submit problems with the translations of the help
cubes? I just created report on Pagure
(https://pagure.io/fedora-cheat-cubes/issue/7) about messages not
being picked up. Then I noticed the very low number of issues
registered there, which made me suspect this wasn't where the
developers would be looking. Is there a better place, or is this
indeed where I should create them.
