Proposal: Fedora G11N Steering Committee

Hi All, I am sure, most of the people working with Fedora I18N, L10N from 5-6 year must be aware regarding Fedora L10N Steering Committee. [1] As far as i know this committee was active around 2009 and very effective. During Fedora G11N activity day discussions, we again felt there is need for some kind of official committee to drive Fedora Globalization activities. Fedora is growing faster with number of different domains and G11N also need to adapt those changes quickly to remain on the track. For this purpose and in line with [1], we were thinking of Fedora Globalization steering committee. I have created initial proposal for it. [2] Its open for feedback, please feel free to share other active members, discuss in your respective language groups. This is just initial proposal and i am sure, we can improve and make it more effective with active participation. [transtats.org] f29 is added to transtats.xyz

Hi Everyone, Fedora 28 is released, and this is interesting to learn how was translation completeness for packages and what is required for fedora 29. At this point, Transtats can determine packages which are out of sync[1] (in which languages) and translation volume[2] required for a release. Transtats Jobs[3] sync package with pointing translation platform (DamnedLies and Zanata), Upstream git repository and koji build system. On details page of a package[4] we can see translation statistics from all three places. + At a glance translation report for packages as a group (for a release) or as an individual (detail picture). Tool to inspect translation deficiency and errors in final shipment (srpm). - As transtats job scheduling feature is still under development, sync jobs need manual attention. sync with (1) translation platform (2) upstream (3) build system and then update diff. Can you get project list per language in a group?

Hi, I wanted to have a look at Zanata and translate a little bit, but I can't get the project list for a language. With Firefox even with all extension deactivated. Note, I'm using version 61.0.1 (64 bits). Here is how to reproduce it: 1. Log in 2. Go to Explore: https://fedora.zanata.org/explore 3. Go to the end of the page, you'll see GROUPS 4. Ctrl+F "fre", click on French 5. Projects list is empty while it should be full. Do any of you reproduce the issue? Btw, umatrix show tiny requests to cloudfare and google which may be replaced by file hosted by Zanata itself. -- Jean-Baptiste Holcroft

F27 I18N bug triage activity

Hi all, The F27 I18N bug triage activity has been planned. Following is the wiki page - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA/F27_I18N_Bug_Triage There are total 60 bugs for I18N as of now, with 10 slots containing 6 bugs each. All you have to do is, pick a slot of your choice and check the bugs in it against F28. If reproducible, change the version to F28. If not, then you can close it. You can start this activity from tomorrow i.e. July 19th, 2018. So it will be of great help, if you can contribute. Please revert in case of any queries. Regards, Bhushan
