Pikloops localization

Hi,

I'm searching translators to localize PikLoops: http://pikloops.sf.net and the 
web.
There are only 30 strings in the program and 85 in the web site.
Have a look at http://pikloops.sf.net/contribute.php to see how to checkout 
the svn.

All languages welcome! ;-)

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but PiKLoops
(http://pikloops.tripod.com/) seems to be a KDE application aimed at a
very specific purpose; generating assembly time delays. It does not
seem connected to any Fedora or Red Hat tools in any obvious way.
Thus, I think that Magnus' question is very relevant.

There are other translation projects that are specifically targeted at
offering a generic translation infrastructure for software projects,
like for example the Translation Project
(http://translationproject.org/). Does the Fedora Localization Project
need to duplicate that effort? I personally think that it would be
better if the FLP focused on what's relevant to most of its
volunteers, namely translating tools and applications that are in some
obvious way related to Fedora (and Red Hat). That would for example
make it easier for translators to focus on translating the relevant
stuff in order to get Fedora completely translated.

And I don't think CC the original author of Pikloops can help because he never 
answer me when I intended to improve the program and add the french 
translation.

Translation effort loose several french translators because FSF didn't answer 
to the DISCLAIMER sent since near one year...

Translators can do what they want!
For the french team, I'm in charge of anaconda, apacheconf, authconfig, 
autorun, firsboot, hwbrowser, initscripts, kudzu, libuser, switchdesk and ALL 
the system-* tools.
And I can find time, because I want it, to do or maintain some translations in 
other program, and the new FLP website also.
And of course, the LDP french man pages.

So, let translators decide what they want to do.

I just asked "I need translators"
Hope a french people could translate the following : « Il n'y a pas de quoi en 
faire un fromage »

The reason the Translation Project appeared to stop accepting any new
paper disclaimers was because the FSF moved offices, and the new
tenant at the old address started throwing away all mail addressed to
the FSF, without telling anyone. Not very helpful on their part, but
nothing much to do now. If you sent your paper disclaimer in this time
frame and did not get any answer, please send it again using the
updated contact information in the updated disclaimer at
http://translationproject.org/html/whydisclaim.html.

Furthermore, the Translation Project has recently seen new hosting
changes, with new servers and location
(http://lists.imendio.com/pipermail/tp-sv/2007-July/002091.html). All
in all, many past issues seem to have been addressed.

What if everyone did "request for help" for unrelated software? Better
use the appropriate forum from the start.

I second that.

It was not intended to be a hostile question, but I don't like to waste time
on things not related to Fedora.
I already have 1173 unread Fedora emails as of today... I don't need more
emails that not even talk about Fedora...

You have e.g. caused some random Mr. Brausch to spam this list with his
translations of the program and its website, both of which are very
uninteresting from the Fedora perspective.

Also I don't see why such a hurry with translating the program.  If it
is any good, eventually people will volunteer to translate it to their
own language, just because they'd like use it localized, not because
someone asked.

Everybody, please calm down. :-) 
This whole discussion is my fault because I made a mistake and sent this
e-mail to the Fedora list. I wanted to send it instead just to Alain but
got the wrong button.
