Hi
I've confirmed with docs team and websites team for all their projects and the owners to be migrated. The list can be found here [1]. And now I've started the discussion with FESCO to get support [2]. You can add your self in the ticket.
Now I've been asked by FESCO when the go/no-go decision is made. There have been many positive posts to move to zanata, but I like to request all to make a clear decision to move forward to the production instance (aka stage1). I've set the end date of Stage0 to 31-Sep (software translation deadline is 23-Sep). Or let me know if we can decide earlier :) All, could you please discuss within your team and give your team decision to this list by this date.
For historical data to be retained, there is only one bug filed for translator credit [1], and got the answer please see the bug. Another I can think of is 'reviewed' mark. Chatting with camunoz, those can not be retained, but there is such feature in Zanata and we can utilize for future translation.
Any information you need to make a decision, please feel free to ask or file a bug.

Hope it's not too late. I filed another bug about whether Zanata has the useful translation functions that already available in Transifex. See details here[1]:

P.S. I will forward your mail to Simplified Chinese team's list.

I'm glad to hear that! I think upstream developers involvement is the key to a successful migration.
I'd like to note that projects with only "raven" and "glezos" (or both) as maintainers are probably abandoned, and possibly deprecated. We were set as the default maintainers, and if we're still there, then no one picked a project up during all the years of us using Transifex.

Fwiw I'm in favor of the move to Zanata. Thanks for coordinating this!

This was my question about to ask, thank you :-) In order to avoid sending useless notifications of migration to you, I will remove "raven" and "glezos" from the list. Let me know if any particular project you like to stay as the owner.

Just want to make sure, it means each team discuss first and reach consensus, and then give one decision here?

Yes, there is. Since new zanata instance will be created specifically for Fedora Localization Project where we can have complete control, every translators are required to create his/her new user account there.
Else, migration of translation data will be taken care of by the developers (or zanata team). However, I know that Japanese team will make a copy of all translation files as backup, just in case.
If no, bulgarian team is OK.
Will you please reconfirm if this is still ok?

Hi
I've confirmed with docs team and websites team for all their
projects
and the owners to be migrated. The list can be found here [1]. And
now
I've started the discussion with FESCO to get support [2]. You can
add
your self in the ticket.
Now I've been asked by FESCO when the go/no-go decision is made.
There
have been many positive posts to move to zanata, but I like to
request
all to make a clear decision to move forward to the production
instance
(aka stage1). I've set the end date of Stage0 to 31-Sep (software translation deadline is 23-Sep). Or let me know if we can decide earlier :) All, could you please discuss within your team and give your team decision to this list by this date.
The Spanish team is ok to move forward.
We duscussed this in our trans-es list. [1]

Generally current team coordinator needs to delegate the coordinator's roll to you or anyone appropriate. This can be done by simply posting this list and informing the change to all other languages team. Once this is done, please follow the steps described in the page 'Maintainer of a language team' [1].

Same with previous mail to Igor from Russian team. If you are unable to reach the coordinator and the only one active translator, go ahead and take the roll. I can't even see trans-as list, it seems no longer exists.

I am a coordinator and I get a blank page after I input my Fedora credentials and click "Login". Below are the screenshots of Firefox and Safari.

Hi Misha,
I can see an account Shnurapet on translate.zanata.org but it hasn't been enabled yet. Upon first log in via FAS open ID it should have presented you a screen for name and email. Once filled in it should've sent you an activation email. Looks like you either missed the email or the email failed to be sent. I have enabled your account manually and assigned you appropriate roles. Please try again and see if you still have any problems.

Hi Misha,
Are you still having this problem? I checked your account (there seems to be two of them) and they are both active. We've had some reports about similar issues and I'm just trying to poinpoint the exact cause.

Yes, I'm still having the problem. It could be more productive to meet in IRC.

I've tested a little. I have a couple of questions.
If I go to "Groups" and choose "Fedora Software", I come to a page that looks very empty. 0 words to translate, only two languages, (ja and en-US). Is this intended?
If I choose any of the languages, I see fedora-installer. If I click on that, I am able to select Swedish. But when I do, it says "no documents in this version". Is this intended?
Also on this page, there is a little sign "Next" over the percentage number in the field "Swedish". It came as a tooltip when I was about to click the greater than sign to switch to the second list of languages. But it remained. Is that really intended?
Is there anywhere a page where I can see the status of all translations for a specific language, Swedish in my case?
If any of those things are bugs, let me know, and I'll file a bugzilla. But since I wasn't sure if it was just me misunderstanding things, I wanted to ask first.
Hi Goran,
Thanks for the input. I'll walk you through those items you mentioned.
"If I go to "Groups" and choose "Fedora Software", I come to a page that looks very empty. 0 words to translate, only two languages, (ja and en-US). Is this intended?"
Groups are a way to track multiple versions from different projects together. This means that you can see their combined stats and languages. This is useful when tracking the release of a big software component (e.g. RHEL) and keeping track of all the versions of the packages that will be released with it. When setting up a group, the user can select the languages and project versions they are interested in tracking. In your case, that very specific group only has those two languages, and a project version that hasn't gotten any documents uploaded yet. That's also why when clicking on "Fedora Software" you see the "No documents in this version". Let us know if you want us to upload a few documents in there for it showcase the features a bit better.
"Also on this page, there is a little sign "Next" over the percentage number in the field "Swedish". It came as a tooltip when I was about to click the greater than sign to switch to the second list of languages. But it remained. Is that really intended?"
I think you've found a visual glitch! Yes, that tooltip is supposed to go away. If you could file a bugzilla, it'll be greatly appreciated.
"Is there anywhere a page where I can see the status of all translations for a specific language, Swedish in my case?"
There is currently no way to track ALL projects and versions for a single language. We are planning on implementing a project search feature where you can search for projects in different ways, one of them being exactly the one you mentioned. As of now, the closest we have is the Groups feature which you have already discovered. You'll notice that when visiting a group, you get a series of tabs on top:
Projects: That's where you see which project versions are part of the group and how each language is progressing for each of those. Languages: It's an orthogonal view of sorts. You see all the languages the group is interested in tracking, and from there you see how each project is progressing. Maintainers: A list of the maintainers of the group, in case you need to contact them.
"If any of those things are bugs, let me know, and I'll file a bugzilla. But since I wasn't sure if it was just me misunderstanding things, I wanted to ask first."
No harm in asking. Bugs are always welcome! Let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your extensive explanation! I'll continue experimenting with this additional information.
Carlos Munoz:
Groups are a way to track multiple versions from different projects together.
I guessed something like that. My expectation was, though, that all languages would automatically be available in a group. Or at least those that were available for any project in the group. But I understand the intented behaviour is slightly different.

# I will be out of town btw 3-21 Sep and may not respond.
cheers

Hi,
Thank you all teams for taking time to discuss. It was 19 'Go' votes counted, with zero 'No-Go'. Therefore we will move forward. The schedule will be updated and informed soon.
Thanks
