About me: (First of all, I hope I did this right and didn't end up
sending this wrong.) I started using Fedora a couple of weeks back and
just fell in love with this amazing OS. I regularly use other OS's like
Windows 7 and Mac OSX, but the complexity and customisability of
open-source Unix-like makes me find myself using my Mac and Win PC less
and less in favour of my Fedora equipped Acer Aspire One. Since I like
Fedora so much and use it a lot, I felt it would be both decent of me
and fun to contribute to the project on some level. I went for
localisation, since I'm no good with coding or marketing, and have a lot
of experience of translating, among others a few localisation projects
for Google.
I look forward to contributing to the Fedora Project in any way I'm
able.
Cheers,
Niclas

Hi Darko, and Welcome !
You should use the localization mailing list and not the
internationalization one. I've added the L10n mailing list, but you
should register to it there[1].
Then, read the localization page on the wiki[2]. you'll find the link
to the FAQ which can tell you how to create a new team[3].
Come back later if something is not clear.
See ya!

Re: PROPOSAL: Create docs-bug list.
by Jesús Franco
I'm cc'ing this thread to translators, because we really need most ideas like this one, in order to tracking more easily our own bugs.

Actually, we have components for languages (i don't know since when);
This for Spanish (es):
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?cmdtype=runnamed&namedcmd=fl10n-e...
Product: Fedora Localization; Component: Spanish

As i've pointed above, we have the tools yet, but we are not using it, i think. Maybe lack of training?
Everybody, please share your search parameters to found bugs, i have this:
Product: Fedora; Keywords: Translation; New, Assigned, Modified
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?cmdtype=runnamed&namedcmd=f-trans
Product: Fedora Documentation; Keywords: translation; N, A, M, V, Closed.
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?cmdtype=runnamed&namedcmd=f-docs-...
Product: Fedora Localization; Status: Mod, New, Assigned, ON_DEV, ON_QA, RELEASE_PENDING, POST
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?cmdtype=runnamed&namedcmd=fl10n_gral
Having *just one* bugs list would be a great tool to handle the ubiquitous newcomers to docs or translation teams, showing them a single source to suscribe for lot of tasks. I think in a pretty easy address to include in feedback/translation notes; something like the feedback for webmaster(a)fedoraproject.org would be better (being forwarded to websites(a)l.fp.o list without hassle). I have the feeling we lose a lot of feedback (i'm thinking a lot of translation bugs, you know) since the process to file a single bug forces anyway to create an account into Bugzilla.
Anyway, for everybody looking for something to do about docs&L10N bugs:
http://ur1.ca/2f286
Well, you know, maybe it would be better a docs-bugs list and a separate trans-bugs list. Again, something not demanding one more register process for people kind enough to file a bug, even in an informal way.
Kind regards,
Jesús Franco
