Hello, I would like to find out where I could find the translations done for Romanian for Fedora before Zanata. I understand it was handled on Transifex, but there is no more Fedora organization on Transifex. I would like to synchronize the terminology in Zanata with the historical one.
I would basically need the .po database (or any other l10n format) that Fedora used and I can construct a historical terms & translation database from that.
For now, I am the only person engaged on the Romanian language of Fedora and finished a (very) rough draft of Anaconda thus far. I aim to also do the presentation websites and perhaps the introduction app that people use in Fedora.

Hi,
Can I know which package of Fedora you are referring to? You can find most of the package fedora translations in http://fedora.zanata.org/.
Instructions for download translations: http://docs.zanata.org/en/release/user-guide/documents/download-translated-d...
Let me know if you have any problem.

Thank you for the reply, Alex.
I need the previous translation files, those hosted on Transifex or other platforms used before Zanata. For example, on Zanata for Romanian, the package "anaconda" (the OS installer program) did not contain any pre-existing translation, that means it wasn't transfered over from transifex (or wherever else it was managed previously). I need the old translation files so I can keep the terminology in the new translation consistent with the old.
Thanks.

Hi Noriko, thanks for the reply.
I am looking for historical translations made for Fedora projects in Romanian, even if they are no longer relevant, in order to construct a database with existing terminology. Those old translation files still have useful data that someone could mine and use in future translations.

I understand the importance, but unfortunately those have not been migrated from transifex. During the move from transifex to zanata, one of us filed this bug. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1133892
Evaluated with the number of voice for request and the resource capacity of Zanata team at that time, it seems not fixed but closed.

Hi,
There is no single repository with Fedora translations, so all you can do is manually check all the git and hg repositories for po/ro.po files:
https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/
https://hg.fedorahosted.org/hg/
You'll probably not find much more than there is on Zanata. Romanian team wasn't very active in the past, but I'm glad that's changing!
Best regards,
