Self-introduction and asking to add Vietnamese team

Hi everyone!

Name: Phu Hung Nguyen
FAS username: phuhnguyen
Language: I would like to start a team for the translation of Fedora to Vietnamese
Status: Currently I am a master student in informatics
About me: I only started using Linux (and Fedora) as my daily driver since 2 years ago,
and I am attracted to Linux's speed and openness, and Fedora's robustness. For now
I would like to contribute by translating and later I want to work with the code as well.
In the past I did the translation of subtitles in documentary films, and now I am the
coordinator of the Vietnamese team in KDE l10n project. I have also finished translating
the app of Tutanota, a mail service, and am translating their website.

I have sent an email to an administrator, Piotr Drąg, but still want to include the
request in this introduction to be sure, and because the team hasn't existed yet.

Hello Phu,
Welcome to localisation team.
The Fedora L10n platform is on Weblate now.
I think here[1] is your starting point. Vietnamese is already available,
so you don't need to add it.

Here is a brief guide[2] on translating on Weblate. Hope it will be helpful.

Thanks a lot for the info.
So as I can see, to be able to translate in Weblate, I don't need to be in the cvsl10n
group. Is it still necessary?
And how can I add info into the Teams page https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/L10N_Teams so
people know there's a Vietnamese team without having to look for it in the Weblate
site?

If you just want to translate on weblate, then you don't have to be in
cvsl10n group. As far as I know, the contributor should at least belong
to one group other than the default cla_done group to edit the wiki page.

So if you want to add the entry to the page, you should be in at least
one group beside FPCA group, for example the cvsl10n group.

I have sponsored you to the cvsl10n group, I guess you can edit the page
now.

To do changes in the wiki you need to be member of a group. That's exactly
what cvsl10n group is for ;)
